Came here because of the reviews and always a fan of supporting independent restaurants, was met by unfriendly staff who didn’t even think that a “hello” was necessary. Pointed us straight to the menu (which is by all means not huge), only to tell us after we’ve been pondering for a few minutes what to get, that the dumplings were sold out (12:30pm). There was no one else in the place, so really didn’t understand the ignorance of the person who gave us the feeling we were a nuisance. As a tourist you’re looking for the full package, decent food in a nice environment. Can’t comment on the first, latter wasn’t given.

Decent. I tried the fried Mimi Cheng's dumplings (chicken and zucchini), and they were tasty although a little over burnt for my tastes. You can definitely tell the quality is there but eight dumplings for $15 is a little steep when you can get tastier dump.inns (even if slightly lower quality) for half the price in the neighborhood.

They only had the veggie 2.0 available although I was hoping to try the original veggie dumplings. The dumplings tasted decent and healthy as in not too salted, just not very memorable or special. I liked that the dumpling skin was not thick. Restaurant was pretty empty with no drinks in the fridge. Staff/service was cold and standoffish.

Every single time there is an issue with the order. They do not answer the phone - their voicemail asks that you email them if you need help with your order. Not surprisingly the response is not timely. I forgot about all this. It had been about a year since I ordered. $15 something for a handful of cold dumplings showed up too late. The cucumber salad was replaced by greens - no one bothered to ask me if I wanted a replacement or not. Over priced for bad service and bad food. Never again.

Eating Mimi Cheng’s feels like a warm hug. The dumplings are incredible, the monthly specials are always showstoppers (don’t get me started on the french onion soup dumplings - WOW) and the greens are super flavorful. Must-have.

we love Asian dumplings but these were average at best and quite costly. Understandably, food prices have risen but i would not return. I went because of the good reviews.

The servers were very nice, however, the food is not good and the prices are ridiculous. Walk to Chinatown and get delicious dumplings for less than half the price.

Wonderful authentic Taiwanese dumplings and scallion pancakes. It's a must try.

Fantastic dumplings. It lived up to the hype. I’m usually skeptical of places with so much but the pork dumplings were great. Flavorful and with a good amount of filling. Also had the Dan Dan noodles. However it was all very pricey. Those two items came in around $30. That’s just alottt.

The December special is the best dumpling I’ve ever had

After Prosperity Dumpling closed, Mimi Cheng's took its spot as New York's best dumpling spot. And the dumplings here really are top-notch. On their regular menu, the signature Mimi Cheng's dumplings are my favorite. They's full of fresh garlic and ginger, and the skins are just the right thickness. The special dumplings can be astounding. The recent agnolotti del plin wontons, for example, are the best agnolotti I've ever had.

Boxes on the floor everywhere, poor customer service - one of the employees was very rude when I asked about my food. Took much too long and when I got the chicken & rice I ordered, the rice was sitting in a pool of water/broth and there were 2 small pieces of chicken. Flavor was alright, but not at all worth the $17-ish dollars.

Haven’t been here to this exact location in four years. So glad I came back! My partner and I got two orders of the Mimi Cheng and the Pork and Chive dumplings! Both were as delicious as I remembered! Seriously so glad to see that they’ve stayed open during this past year! Service was top notch as well!
