I cannot say enough good things about my experience at this restaurant. The food was spectacular. I will dream about it. Service was prompt and polite. Best middle eastern food I have had in a long time. If you are in the area, you must stop by. It’s worth it!

Calvin is an awesome bartender. Makes great drinks and he’s super personable. I recommend the mint lemonade if you want a mocktail or the pink lady cocktail.

Beautiful food!
Lovely atmosphere and service. All the dishes were spot on in flavour, size, presentation and price. Their cocktails are unbelievable good, well put together.

Miriam was an incredible experience! Even though my date and I were about fifteen minutes late, they still accommodated us with a wonderful experience! The service was impecable! The food was incredible, and the very kind waitress was so knowledgeable and helpful. My new favorite place on the UWS! Thank you so much for helping out to make a wonderful first date experience!

Ate dinner for the first time! We did find a plastic string from a hair net in our hummus but after that the food was good.

The food is AMAZING. Three dip plate, salad, both chicken and lamb shawarmas were fantastic.

We came in saying we have 5 people and child(2years old) (total of six people). The host took us outdoors without asking if we wished to have a table indoors or outdoors. We politely asked her if she had a table indoors after which she replied “Well, you should’ve told me before. We don’t have space for you.”

I fear that this is not an appropriate behavior a host or a manager should have accepting the guests. Usually people ask if you wish to sit indoors or outdoors when it’s beginning of January.

I obviously replied and reciprocated her energy “You should’ve offered us indoors or outdoors knowing it’s cold outside and we have a child.”

I’m sure the food here is fantastic, but the amount of attitude on her face was showing. I understand the hard work servers do which I greatly appreciate and always leave proper tips, but showing us the attitude was not the way to go.

I also admit I should’ve acted better as well and we should’ve reserved the table prior to coming. That was our mistake.

I left 3 stars only because of this and we didn’t even get to try the food.

This was a bustling loud restaurant this Saturday night and the staff was working hard. I’m struggling here as I don’t like to be critical so am giving them a 3 star rating but it’s generous. We sat at a high top table by the door on a very cold night and had to keep my jacket on. I understand that’s hard to control. But they could control the volume of their music. People were screaming to be heard. Maybe they want it that way? The waiter a very nice guy kept us waiting for a really long time but I did say it was packed inside. Still we did pay $75 a head with no drinks and 1 shared dessert and 2 shared apps for the 4 of us. This is not gourmet food. Ok the humus and warm pita were great but the falafel was not. It was an odd shape probably machine made and texture leading me to believe it was freshly made. FYI avoid the fish dishes here. The fish shawarma was horrible. It tasted nothing like shawarma and had a fishy tasted. The Israeli salad tasted like it was sitting around for a couple of days as the vegetables were water logged and soggy with zero taste. Two people had the Moroccan fish and thought it was too spicy. I didn’t think so but it was covered in a heavy sauce. I’ve been to Morocco and never had this. I’m not going back but maybe I had an off night? Too busy? I won’t take that chance

Had a reservation in street outside enclosed garden. No heat on 22 degree nite. Refused to try to assist us in getting a seat inside. We would have waited at bar if needed. The manager hostess and server were all poorly trained and could care less Iam furious. My wife was looking forward to their food for 4 months These three woman could have cared less about trying to help us out.
Worst experience ever and I’m gonna write to the owners tomorrow serious training issue there. Lack of compassion and heart.
We were looking forward to this experience. So angry and disappointed

Excellent meal before our show at the Beacon. Tasty drinks. Food was great. Plentiful portions. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Lamb spareribs, hummus and focaccia to start. Meals included short ribs, lamb shawarma, white seabass and chicken schnitzel. Pictures tell the tale. Desserts were just right. Great value for the money. Took off 1 star for the noisy holiday crowd.
