Modern Coffee House is an old-fashioned, no-frills bakery with an entrance stairway that is reminiscent of Chinatown. The pastries are good, including the Strawberry Bun Cake which is light, spongy, and not too sweet, making it an acquired taste. Many buns are less than two dollars, which is amazing. The tea is fine. It is a place to go again if in the area.
