Beautiful space, great dips, and solid brunch with excellent service
This restaurant is AMAZING I have eaten in a lot of Greek restaurants ranging from mediocre to excellent. Molyvos is outstanding. 15/10. If u r in New York and u want the absolute best Greek food this is your place to go. I am in awe. The service is equally the same, spectacular. Thank you for the best dinner and service.

We went for Thanksgiving and really impressed. We were allowed to order items a la carte in addition to the incredibly reasonable Prix Fixe. Super sweet waitress, attentive, fired courses appropriately so no long waits. Manager/owner was very hands on and professional. He helped deliver food and drinks. Entire meal was well paced and not rushed. The only really off putting service issue was the bussers, 1 in particular. Molyvos has great water glasses, but he'd never fill the glass. He's only fill it 1/2way. We sat without water for quite some time before they were refilled. He also didn't wipe the table between courses, so some of us had our plates delivered on top of food. He also marked our table with extra silverware (2 of us got soup with forks and knives, etc) We'd definitely go back, loved everything else.
A beautiful restaurant with amazing Greek food and wines. The calamari appetizer with 2 dipping sauces was the best calamari my wife and I have ever eaten. She had the lamb shank with orzo, I had braised lamb canelloni; both entrees were delicious and well designed. The staff was professional and friendly and catered to our every need. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Molyvos is a superb Greek restaurant. Every dish is made of the freshest ingredients and are delicious.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and their fabulous service. The calamari was the best we've ever had! I loved the lamb shank with orzo and my husband said the cannelloni was superb.
I love Molyvos!!!!!! I Tavel to NYC several times a year for theater and I would never miss an evening with friends at Molyvos! Excellent location, service is attentive without being intrusive, the food is inventive but not absurd. Everyone I introduce to Molyvos tells me it's now on their must go to list.
Perfect for a relaxed evening of fine dining with friends and family. The food, especially lamb dishes, and all-Greek wine list are big draws. But what sets this place apart, especially at this price and quality point, is that the tables are well spaced, there's no need to shout to hear your dining companions, and the staff will never rush you—unless you need to get to a show, in which case they'll get you out on time. The dining rooms and place settings are very attractive too. Overall, a terrific experience.

The food was delicious, the setting very attractive, the service attentive, and the location convenient for the theater. We will definitely return.
I arrived early to meet friends here for brunch on a Saturday and arrived somewhat early. Unfortunately I also needed to use the restroom somewhat urgently :-) I asked the hostess, who I think was also a waitress, if I could use the restroom while I waited. She said “yes” but then asked for the name of the reservation. I gave her one name, but that wasn’t correct. There were 5 people and I didn’t know any other last names in the party.
I went outside to text my friends as I now did not feel welcome inside. Turned out that my friends had not made a reservation, but when I told them what happened, and how it made me feel, they suggested we go elsewhere. They sent me to a lovely restaurant on 10th avenue who let me in immediately to use the restroom while I waited, and we had a lovely 6 person brunch.
It is a shame because I was interested to try this place having been familiar with the space from running multiple corporate dinner events in the former restaurant that was there (I’m in corporate marketing). No chance I will want to run an event in this restaurant now. I had a strong feeling it did not help that I was dressed casually (was heading to teach a yoga class after brunch) and that I’m a woman of color. Of course that shouldn’t matter, but so often I find it does.
I’m surprised that any restaurant in this economic climate can afford to be so selective and potentially biased, but I guess they do not need the business. Funny, as the restaurant did not seem anywhere near full.

We stopped in here during a work trip for some pre-dinner wine and snacks. Got the trio of dips which came with an entire basket of breads and I'm still thinking about it.

This was the best meal I have had in years. The spreads were amazing. Every entree my group tried was completely cleared, and dessert was amazing! Highly recommend
Incredible food, great menu. The service was way too overattentive though, we felt rushed at a time when the dining room wasn't even full.
