Momofuku Noodle Bar is always a win. The ginger scallion noodles are simple perfection, bright, fragrant, and so satisfying. The chicken pho is deeply comforting with a rich, clean broth that tastes like it’s been simmering all day. And the buns… soft, pillowy, and packed with flavor definitely a must-order. Service is quick, the vibe is lively, and being just steps away from Central Park makes it the perfect spot to fuel up before or after a stroll.

It was nice to try for one time. I posted pic. The total price was $76. It seems like little overpriced for noodles.

The noodle is pretty flavorful however there was a lot of oil due to which I could not get enjoy drinking the broth, which I usually prefer. Getting the chilli oil or crunch is 1.5$ per every order so that’s a bit annoying to me cause I like chilli oil, but except that it’s decent. I wish the vegan noodle soup had a lil bit of more vegetables except that the flavor of the noodles itself is pretty decent.

Hostess was very rude lunch Wednesday! Not worth the effort.
Very bland food with nothing special about it. Prices are high. I didn't understand the hype. Definitely not worth going.

I don't think this is a terrible choice objectively, but relatively there are better options nearby for ramen and buns. The broth felt overtly salty and watery, pork meat was very fatty on buns. Drinks were forgettable (especially by staff...). The cookies were nice. Would not go again.

The yuzu tuna handroll was tasty as well as the daily special spindrift collab dish. Don’t forget the cookie for dessert! Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to NYC

Disappointing Experience with the Hostess Never Got to Try the Food
We are a family of five (three adults and two children, including a toddler), and we stopped by the Noodle Bar at Columbus Circle today around noon for lunch. We had just checked out of our hotel nearby and had a couple of hours to grab a quick meal before heading to the airport. We left our luggage at the hotel for storage and our taxi was about to pick us on a hour.
When we arrived, we noticed several open tables some near the entrance and more inside. My husband politely asked the hostess if we could be seated at one of the tables near the front (two could easily be joined together). She immediately looked at her screen and responded, “Give me time, I have a lot of reservations.”
After a short wait, she told us the only available option was seating at the bar, or we could go on the waiting list. This would have been understandable if the place was truly full but we could clearly see empty tables. What’s more frustrating is that when we finished lunch elsewhere and walked back past the restaurant, those same tables were still empty.
It felt less like a reservation issue and more like poor front-of-house management or a lack of willingness to accommodate a family with children.
We didn’t get to try the food, so this review is solely based on the front-of-house experience.

Popped in to grab a meal with a couple friends and was reminded of how solid an option the Momofuku restaurants are.
Got there a bit early but was still able to be seated. The team were very accommodating service-wise and I was reminded how consistent the food is. From the all star pork buns, to the wings and super filling ramen, come here hungry and leave happy.

One of the best ramens I have ever tasted in USA. Delicious, spiced but it over the edge, tasty, with an astonishingly cooked slice of port.
The bartender’s friendliness is above and beyond.
Highly recommend!

I ordered the pork belly bun, the pork ramen, tuna hand rolls and an ice cream for dessert. Everything was amazing, my favorite was the pork belly bun. The ice cream was something unique e surprised me with how good it was. Great service as well

Momofuku’s so-called “Chili Crunch” brand is the poster child for trademark bullying. Instead of innovating, they weaponize IP lawyers to slap warning letters on small, independent sauce makers—then pretend it’s “protection,” not intimidation. Worse, they traded on the legacy of Momofuku Ando—the Japanese inventor of instant ramen—without honoring his spirit of open, accessible food. In short, Momofuku isn’t a culinary pioneer; it’s a copy-and-paste impostor hiding behind legal threats. Skip the hype, support the real artisans, and let this knock-off empire stew in its own faux-spicy mediocrity.
