This is an scam restaurant is permanently closed and open table confirmed our reservation and we had to go all the way. Waste of time and our evening, such an embarrassing situation I had to face with my guests. Open table please update your system!!!

This restaurant has some old school charm- but the food was mediocre at best. The portions were small- I ordered the veal scaloppini cardinale and the portion was half of what one might expect - and the veal was so tough. The appetizers were also small- paying for a portobello appetizers which had a small grilled portobello mushroom sliced up and hidden in a spring mix salad. When we’re stretching mushrooms- it just leaves me feeling cheated. Even the Tiramisu was a small portion. Very disappointing.

Restaurant Week menu was extensive. The Pollo Montebello and Salmon dishes were exceptional, as was the seafood appetizer. Service continues to be friendly, attentive, and top notch. Highly recommended for good Italian.

A classic Italian restaurant . It's restaurant week so the prices were great and it came with appetizer , entree and dessert. The mussels were perfectly cooked with garlic and tomato sauce 8/10 . The bufala was perfectly fresh and just a light classic option 7/10. The Cesar salad was great a solid choice 8/10. The salmon was so fresh and perfectly cooked and full of flavor, the potatoes was a bit dry but the vegetables really brought it together8/10.The chicken was great not dry, and the sides were great as well7/10. The cheesecake was great with a small hint of lemon in the crust which was more of a angel cake consistency 8/10. The chocolate mouse wasn't too sweet and fantastic 9/10

Our food extremely took too long waited for 1 hour to get four dishes. It is pricey and calamari was ok but pricey comparison to Ruth Chris streak-house.

One of few places with lots of available tables on a Saturday. Food was good but not spectacular. When asked for non-alcoholic drink was told only choices were “Coke or Ginger Ale.” Had to wait for menu (not offered when seated) and prices were a bit higher than I feel was justified.

We had a party of 8 for a pre-theater dinner. The restaurant was able to accommodate separate checks for our party which was very considerate. The food was absolutely amazing! We were able to fully enjoy our meal and have plenty of time to get to our show.

The food is really good! Tastes homemade, like you want your Italian to taste. Marinara sauce is fantastic! Quiet, slightly elegant, old fashioned ambiance. Service was very good. Only thing I would note in a negative way is that the prices were a bit high. $22 for a half order of pasta on the side seems a bit much to me. Just be aware of what you want to pay.

If you have dinner here as a small group you will be fine. If you go as a big group BEWARE. Was massively and shamefully over priced for a group of 10 people.

Extremely disappointed with the service and food. Ordered the Crespelle entree and the stuffed crepes were literally frozen inside. The waiter apologized, took the plate back to the kitchen and told us he had personally tossed the dish in the garbage and told the chef to make a new entree. Much to our surprise, the food runner returns not with a new entree but the same one I sent to the kitchen, half eaten... just warmed up. We spoke to the manager and he seemed not to be surprised of the incident nor that the food was frozen. Crazy to think they are charging $30 + for frozen food. The entree was not removed from the bill...we had to tell the waiter that we were not paying for that dish. Awful.

This ristorante is consistently excellent. Food is top shelf and service impeccable. The Captain, Fernando, is exceptionally accommodating. I look forward to returning; the Sea Bass was perfect and my clients raved about Montebello's.

Late night dinner in cozy atmosphere! My husband ate every last spec of his Lobster ravioli with shrimp in the sauce. The eggplant rigatoni was delicious.

We came for restaurant week and did not enjoy this. The portions were small. There are better Italian spots in nyc hence why this place was empty. They also asked if we wanted a cappuccino so we assumed it came with the menu but it turned out to be $7 extra.

The food and the service were spectacular. My only issue was the television was on with business news and it's not the ambience I was hoping for. A little Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin would have been nice. Eventually they turned the news off.
