Today, Easter Sunday, I was one of a party of 5. Each have had celebratory dinners , Christmas, New Year, shared birthdays, as well as informal lunches going back some 5 years at Morso. Today was the first bad experience. Arriving for a 3PM seating three of us asked for the lamb special prominently shown on the website as the 'Easter special' menu and was also offered tableside via a separate short page menu, prominently displaying the lamb selection. We were told there was no lamb available? Since the 12 to 3 brunch menu didn't indicate lamb as an available selection, had ALL the lamb sold out btwn 3 and 3:15. I was offered roast duck that was unsweetened, more dry than charred wood and tasting like cardboard. A companion asked for additional puffed bread, in two languages, and was denied? This group paid a tab of almost $ 600.00 based mostly on past reputation and present New Yorker stupidity. I should have asked my party to leave following the nettlesome waiters denial of basic bread, never mind the disappearing lamb?My bad, however, it will be awhile before reserving at this once impeccable bistro.Sadly,Vincent J. Come for the popovers and stay for everything else! Delicious food, excellent service, really interesting decor. What drew me in was the home made pastas, turned out to be excellent! Our waiter was very kind, professional and made us feel like we were in a five star establishment. No cocktail menu but they have a full bar and can make you whatever you want. We were surrounded by regulars - always a good sign!

The fresh pasta was delicious and they have so many different kinds of it. The popovers and whipped spicy ricotta cheese were a highlight though- I'd go back for that alone!

The food and service were really great. It's a very lively and attractive room, but the sound is not overwhelming. I look forward to dining there again.

Wonderful neighborhood place that doesn’t break the bank. Our server Ezra Lawrence was attentive, helpful and friendly. The enclosed space is a nice change especially during the fall. The popovers (in lieu of bread) with ricotta are addictive. Cornish hen under a brick (al Mattone) delicious !

The brussel sprout arugula salad was incredible. The grilled seafood was over cooked and a bit bland. Pasta bolognese was good. Pumpkin cheesecake was good. I wish they had a special cocktailList!

Went there last night and we had the most disappointing dinner and a very expensive one. The Vongole Oreganate, had no oregano in them. The wine selection was poor and over-priced...the lobster Fra Diavolo with spaghetti, had not even a touch of spice...plus the lobster meat was tough and there were shrimp in the dish...(maybe to compensate for what little lobster given). Last note about the meal...the green beans should be trimmed! Who is overseeing the kitchen?

Salmon was wonderful. Asked for no added salt and the food wasn't salty. String beans perfect. Will definitely visit again soon. Friends loved there dishes, Halibut, beef and Seaford.Waitstaff attentive and everyone warm and friendly. Highly recommend.

We went with a friend to a neighborhood place. It's b/w Sutton Place and 1st on the south side of 59th Street. It is part of the Pino Luongo restaurants. We sat under the covered canopy outside. Our waiter was friendly. We had 3 different dishes-the Saturday night lasagna special, salmon and the bronzino special (made with spinach). All 3 dishes were very yummy. They did bring Italian bread with a cheese and a yogurt mixture. We topped it off with coffee (two reg and one decaf cappuccino). I did find the dessert prices to be disproportionately pricey compared to the main meals, ao we skipped that part. I must say then when we ordered the coffees, they brought out a plateful of Italian cookies complimentary which was appreciated. We asked one of the waiters (maybe he wasn't a waiter) to take our picture with my phone and he said he didn't know how. Maybe he didn't- but it was an odd answer these days. Anyway, we got our waiter to take a picture and all ended up well. The restaurant has interesting cookbooks in the front and the bios about the different chefs that work there. They also have a private room you could have an event in which was adorned by giant beautiful plaster of paris (or not) flowers. Give it a shot. Nice homey feeling and they did thank us on the way out.

Poor management. They consistently mess up your order. We ask for gluten free and get regular pasta (my wife has a severe gluten allergy). This has happened twice in the past few weeks. Manager was dismissive and borderline rude. Didn’t offer anything other than they’re fixing it. First time? I get it. Multiple times??Whomever is the owner please understand this is happening. We love the restaurant but just don’t think it’s worth the risk or attitude.
