Really good food, unfortunately horrible service.
During my recent visit to New York City, I had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional restaurant. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and truly enhanced our evening. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming—easily a 10 out of 10.
Most importantly, the food was phenomenal. Every dish was expertly prepared, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. For anyone visiting NYC, this spot should be at the top of your list. A truly memorable culinary experience.
10/10 recommend eating here! Everything about our experience was perfect! Inviting charming atmosphere with music playing. Kind, funny, attentive service. Presentation of food was gorgeous. And authentic flavors were just delicious. Thank you for the best send off to our trip to NYC. 💙🤍🩵
I’ve tried my fair share of Indian restaurants. This place is by far one of the best i’ve been to. We ordered a chicken tikka masala, buttered chicken, and veggie korma. We also ordered garlic naan and samosas. All of the food was flavorful and fresh. We will be coming back!
Excellence food. Very well prepared and authentic Delhi style preparation! Highly recommend 👌
Food was decent — I’d give it a 3 out of 5. Nothing great, nothing terrible. But the service? Absolutely pathetic.
The server was extremely rude and kept clearing plates even while we were still eating. It wasn’t even a busy day — the entire restaurant was empty with no waiting guests. Still, we felt rushed throughout the meal simply because of how he was behaving. It made the whole experience uncomfortable.
When I casually shared my feedback with him at the end, he brushed it off with, “This is New York, everything is fast here.” I had to remind him that it’s not my first time in New York or dining in a restaurant here. Just because you’re in New York doesn’t mean you stop valuing hospitality.
The restaurant calls itself Mughlai, but the experience felt more like rushed fast food — with none of the warmth, patience, or service you’d expect from Indian hospitality. The server’s attitude was unacceptable.
Very disappointing experience. I’d suggest avoiding this place if you’re looking for a decent meal with even basic respect and service.

I’ll be back for sure. Great food, great service, hospitable hosts, and did I mention great food?? I am very particular about my Chicken Masala and not everywhere can make a good one even though it’s on the menu everywhere. This place knocked it out the park. I will be going back to try the Goat biryani. Sorry no pics, I ate all the food fast before I could remember!
The Mango Lassi was also GREAT!
