Been there a few times, food is usually decent if overpriced (6.5 for small onigiri!) but today the sushi rice was hard like uncooked or leftover. The man is not particularly friendly & the 50 cent card charge seems silly.
Authentic, fresh, healthy, low sodium—tastes like the food from the bathhouses in Hakone, Japan. They also stock natto, unpasturized soy sauce, kombucha, brown rice varities, and so much more. I haven't seen many specialized japanese stores in the city like this! Also they have unsweetened matcha lattes :)I like how it is fast causal dining and they give the food in compostable takeout containers. Only thing is that their prices are steep for food. The matcha latte was reasonable.
Delicious, tasty, fresh, healthy - everything I love and prioritize for food! It was a bit expensive for what it is, but the salmon bento brought me so much joy! The kabocha side dish was also really tasty. The food felt like a home cooked meal and was the perfect portion size for one, with extra pumpkin to last a few meals. Miso soup was good but not memorable
