The fried chicken and musubis are some of the best in the city! The mochiko fried chicken is light, crispy, and juicy. It comes with two sauces - spicy mayo or soy glaze. Both sauces complement the chicken well. There are many options of musubis - my favorites were the galbi, yellowtail, scallop, and the spicy tuna tartare. The servers are very nice! We were going to celebrate a birthday and they wrote happy birthday on the menu which was such a sweet touch! The restaurant isn't that big but there are two sections to the restaurant so there are a decent amount of tables. There are many Polaroids on the wall. The prices do add up so the bill will end up being rather high. I would recommend skipping the Mentaiko spaghetti or the rices - the portions are rather small for the price.

A hidden gem in the east village. Food is experimental and delicious to eat. The Hawaiian Asian fusion food is very unique and rare to find in the city. The gluten-free fried chicken is a must go for anyone who has dietary restrictions. It is crispy, juicy and delicious.Szechuan Bolognese is quite an interesting combination of Chinese and Italian cuisine.Heritage pork chop is a very delicious too.Not to mention the dessert!! The brûlée Hawaiian pineapple and the Chocolate Haupia Sundae are too good to miss!I love the intimate environment. Small space without too much pretentious. The service is superb. You can tell the staff generally care about if their customers have a good time there. Very spontaneous, very friendly and very observable. Will come back again!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free fried chicken

Rice starters are superb but the mains were disappointing (where was the fish in the spaghetti?). The pineapple dessert is brilliant. The windowless side room is way too

Hawaiian wine bar and restaurant in the East Village. Everything on the menu is delicious, highly recommend going with a group so you can order an assortment of dishes to try amongst yourselves. The standout to me was the Mochiko Fried Chicken (yes, I know everywhere does fried chicken now but this is really top tier) along with the Mentaiko Spaghetti and Sunchoked Panna Cotta. You also can’t go wrong with the Musubi or Spanish Octopus (octopus is one of my favorite dishes and this did not disappoint). They also have an excellent wine list that pairs well with the menu. And the service was excellent, highly recommend!

Came here with a big group and ordered a lot of dishes. Highlights were the Heritage pork chop, garlic shrimp bowl, 30-day dry-aged NY strip, yellowtail musubi (all pictured), salmon poke, chow noodles, and this calamari & lotus tempura appetizer (that I don’t have pictures of). Also, personal preference but I think the macaroni salad was the BEST thing ever-it was just so good!We did order a lot but we did have to wait a really long time for the food to come out, which made us quite impatient. There was also a really rowdy and loud group right behind us that made it really hard for my group to hear each other talking.

For Hawaiian food in nyc, this is the spot. For a date or meal with friends; this cozy spot throwing up classics songs from the 2010s & 2000s bring back the memories. The food was reasonably priced for the portion size. Restaurant week is definitely worth it. The bok choy and fried chicken (loco moco) were definitely highlights, but the garlic shrimp bowl didn’t disappoint either. Full of flavor and lots of variety of textures made eating this meal very pleasant. The desserts were also worth a try, with the top pick being the banana bread with ice cream.Staff was friendly vibes were worthy, and bathroom was also clean.

Great experience. They put photos on the wall to memorize the celebrations that their guests held at the restaurant, and their choice of music is nostalgic and reminds me of good old times. Love the vibe and would definitely revisit!

One of our favorite restaurants in the city. Make sure to get extra musubi for the table.
