Great food. Christina was a delightful server. Prices much higher than last time we ate here.

We were disappointed with Nougotine, appetizers were mixed- fried calamari was ok, tuna tartare was very good. Lobster main was served room temp along side large chunks of celeriac, sauce poured table side- lobster was good but the whole dish looked so undesirable and was not hot. Dover dole was good but sauce was too buttery. Bread was soggy tough and greasy. Poached pear tart was a small tart overpowered by an unripened hard pear. How can a poached pear be hard. We had two scotch and two wine glasses , was is worth close to $500 not including tip?

Asked for the front yet they sat us in the worst back booth like seat. Waiter spilled our wine into our steak and ruined the entire dish. He didn't know what to do. Then we ordered double expressos and the brought us singles. The waiter was too excited to keep pouring water and it became annoying as the reason wasn't service but to make us order more bottles of water Staff was poorly trained. This is no long a Michelin star capable restaurant. I have been coming for 20 years. It's a failure now. I would stay away from here.

I often choose Nogatine for a special occasion of eating with friends. Especially those from out of town.

It has been several years since I dined at La Nougatine, and my return visit with a friend did not disappoint. Greeted and welcomed warmly at the reception desk, we were asked if we had any time constraints and we were assured that they would be accommodated. We never felt rushed and left in plenty of time for the baller. We each had an appetizer: the egg toast with a generous portion of caviar was gorgeous and delicious. The warm shrimp salad was beautiful, the dressing light and mouthwatering, and the shrimps broiled to perfection. Our request to share an entree was graciously received: black sea bass with a mouthwatering topping to the crisp exterior. Absolutely fabulous.

Our reservation was for four of us and we unexpectedly ran into another couple we knew who did not have a reservation. The staff were so accommodating and made up a table for 6 of us by putting a top on smaller table to make it work. Very gracious and understanding. Food and service were perfect. Going back tonight!

Rushed Heirloom tomato dish too sour. Missed the mark. Overpowered the beautiful tomatoes.

We had an excellent experience at Nougatine, the restaurant is beautiful, the food was excellent and service top notch!

Always a treat. Delicious sea bass -- couldn't finish it. I hope you don't start charging overtime; we lingered quite a bit. I would add a personal note, but I don't remember any names. Frankly, I never liked the practice of these introductions. From the front desk staff to the bus person, all was fine. I was there to visit with a friend, eat delicious food, pay and leave. I hope to return.

As always our Nougatine experience was superb. The staff seated us at a perfect table to accommodate my husband's hearing problem and the service could not have been better! Wonderful ambiance and the wines and warm shrimp salad and veal were so beautifully served and so tasty! We look forward to our next visit.

This was my first time back at Nougatine in about 18 months, and it was as good as ever. The menu seems very stable, which is a great thing since it has so many appealing dishes. The foie gras terrine was excellent, though the portion is a bit dainty. The roast chicken was stellar, and there's plenty of it. The sides of corn and pommes puree were delicious. Commendably, the wine list offers some good bottles at moderate prices (for these times -- i.e., a nice Chablis can be had for about $150) for those who don't feel like ponying up $2k for a Corton Charlemagne. The server was delightful and competent. At $200 per head, including a round of cocktails, a bottle of wine, tax and tip, and given the quality of food, service and setting, Nougatine qualifies as a "bargain" in 2025 NYC.

Dinner was delicious although it took foooooorever to arrive. Staff a bit condescending although our waiter was good.

It's just perfect. Delicious food and excellent service. We go all the time and it's consistently a high quality with staff that aims to please.

I'm trying to remember exactly when I went to Nougatine for the first time. I want to say it was in 1999 -- a few years after it opened. Even in olden time when the year started with a "1" the experience was wonderful. I think I've been at least twice a year since. Nougatine is always memorable without being "over the top" in any one direction to appeal to the social media proletariat. It's a quintessential example of "fine dining". Dishes are simple and flavourful in unexpected ways. Foie gras, watermelon salad, and the burger (rare) are exceptional. Service is impeccable -- always -- without being stuffy, overbearing, or awkward. And, of course, the dining room is a serene sanctuary that lets you exhale in the greatness of the City of New York.
