Really interesting food, some of which may be familiar, such as borscht, but other things which are not. The cheese bread (adjaruli)is excellent and definitely a window into a different cuisine. There are also Georgian wines made with unusual Grapes. The waitresses were very nice and helped to guide my choices. The restaurant ambience is pleasant, homey, and calm.

Definitely the place I recommend when my friends want to try authentic Georgian food. So good!!!

We had read good reviews of this authentic Georgian place recently and wanted to try it. I personally have not tried Georgian food, so I can't comment on whether it is authentic or not. However, it does remind me of some other Eastern European flavours and definitely felt and tasted home-cooked. Probably my favourite food when we went was the cheese bread (Adjaruli, recommended by the waiter and the most population bread dish). The other dishes we had were the hot appetiser Tshkeli Kuchmachi (chicken liver), main Chakapeli (grass-fed lamb) and dessert Honey Walnut cake (Ideali), which were pretty good. The chicken liver dish is something I have seen similarly in Asian cuisines, which my partner enjoyed. The only thing I would say is that the pricetag was probably on the higher end (~$100 USD for two), but we were bloated by the end--the chicken liver dish was pretty much a main-sized dish. The venue was dimly lit for dinner service and it was easy to hold a conversation at normal level despite a full house. Service was attentive and staff were friendly. Restrooms were clean and classy. As a random observation from my recent experience in NY, the adherence to socially distancing/masking/availability of handwash was much better than what I have seen in other restaurants.

Adjaruli, adjaruli, adjaruli. Period. Do not leave without having this addictive cheese bread. Although the 9th st location is now closed, the one on 73rd st is thriving. Casual, friendly.

Good kebab. Also had the tomato salad with ajika sauce - very good.

I have never had food like it. Amazing. And you must try the Georgian wines, the world's oldest.

We came here for dinner with a group of 6 one night because my husband saw that they have an extensive gluten free menu. Having never tried Georgian food, I was excited to see what they had to offer. The wines are in my opinion not for my taste, too fruit forward. I tried a couple of them before ordering a bottle and honestly didn't like any. The adjaruli, which was bread served with cheese and an egg all mixed together was incredible. Definitely my favorite thing we ordered. This item was not gluten free, but they did have a gluten free bread option for my husband, which he enjoyed very much. We also ordered the soup dumplings. While the inside of the dumpling was good, I did not care for the exterior, and I also thought the presentation was very weird - they served a pepper shaker on the plate itself, which is disgusting - people touch the pepper shaker and now you've put it on the same plate as my food meaning the pepper shaker is touching my dumplings with all these germs on it - not a good look for me We also ordered a lamb dish, which I did not try because I don't like lamb, but our group seemed to like it We also ordered a dish that basically tasted like grits with melted cheese in it, and it was pretty tasty Overall, the menu is very gluten free friendly which is why we came and why I have it 4 stars (I would otherwise probably only have given 3). I think the bread was delicious and the other items we ordered good, but not exceptional. The prices are very reasonable

First, regarding the food. We ordered the MEGRULI (amazing, simple pizza-like dish sans red sauce and with lots of cheese) and ADJARULI (referred to as a "cheese boat" by a friend, with a cheesy dip in the middle of a loaf of bread; I didn't love as much personally but was also very good) to share; I had the MTSVANE LOBIO (Green beans, cooked with white onions, fresh tomatoes & herbs) as my entree and it was so fresh and perfectly spiced and cooked. For wine I had MARANULI TSITSKA, a white wine for which I knew (and still know) nothing about but was crisp and smooth and perfectly chilled and everything I was looking for in a white wine. Second, regarding literally everything else. It was just bad. The service was apathetic the entire evening and it was painful to try and get the bill. When it came, it had errors on it - two large charges not made by us - that we discovered only after our cards were run. I would have thought it had a simple solution but we had to wait ages and as a solution was still not figured out, accept a partial refund on one of the cards. Put a bit of a damper on what was a delicious meal!

Amazing food but service is slow. May be because they were very busy.

There is one distinguishing characteristic of this small Georgian place: It is LOUD - horribly, unrelentingly, painfully LOUD Why did none of the many highly positive Yelp reviews mention this?? We would have left immediately after we stepped in, but, alas, we were waiting for good friends to arrive, so what could we do on a Friday night? Everywhere else in the neighborhood would also be packed at that time. To survive the two hours here, I stuffed tissues in my ears and that helped filter the noise a bit, so at least I could participate in the conversation with our friends. Otherwise, the food was just OK- home-style, simple, peasant-kind of hearty food. Nothing to write home about, in our view. Also, it's not inexpensive. The seating was very tight, so we spoke with the Russian couple next to us. I asked them if they had been here before. They said they had. I asked, " Why would you come back- doesn't the terrible noise bother you?" They replied with a smile, "Well, we're married, so we don't need to talk anyway"

A truly painful experience- deafening and cramped to the max. The food was only just OK- home-style, basic, peasant food- nothing to write home about Could not wait to get out of there. Had never experience such horrible loud noise at a restaurant before!

Amazing authentic Georgian menu. Had the acharuli khachapuri and chaqapuli. If you love cheese and bread and lamb and stew and wine from one of the oldest wine regions in the world then I highly recommend Oda House. Staff was very helpful Describing dishes for my first time. Thank you for your hospitality. I only Hope to save room for dessert next time!

Delicious food in a nice setting with an elegant but cozy vibe. My Georgian friend said the food was quite authentic. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants.

Was pretty disappointed. Great reviews and a Georgian friend led us her and I was really hoping for a great experience. I don't know if they were short staffed or have no idea how to take care if big parties, but we came here with a group of 12 and the whole experience was mostly just waiting. We must of been at the restaurant for about 3.5-4 hours in total and not in a good way. Trying to get a bottle of wine was like pulling teeth. The food was good. But the staff was just never present. Just not for me.
