Absolutely a spot worth stopping by, the food is good and well prepared, the rates are convenient and it is consistently well kept in here. Fantastic work.

I was reminiscing with some friends about the worst service I've ever had and boy, just thought I'd chip in for this gem of a Times Square cesspool. Around 7pm on Halloween weekend, I was waiting for a friend who is a bartender at another midtown bar to finish up his day shift so thought I'd check this place out. I'm a female and got a nasty stare down by the blonde bartender who looked right at me, made a stank face, turned her nose up and just refused to serve me! I mainly wanted food so wasn't rolling in drunk, but natch blondie in the supergirl costume ignored me, stared and talked about me to another bozo in a red jersey that somehow couldn't close his mouth yet was still acting like a smug s.o.b. I'm a low maintenance customer that tips well and sees service staff as real people so this stands out when I say this was the coldest and unprovoked shittiest service I ever received in my life. I know a lot of Irish bartenders and will find out names since there's a picture of them mugging it up on FB. I heard the staff at O'Lunneys is miserable and not allowed to "talk" to customers whatever that means, but this went beyond basic service industry burnout. I don't understand...are the employees trafficked in from somewhere? Staff got real quiet around me then stared me up and down nonstop- vibe straight up felt like I was in the movie Hostel. Basically, don't bother going there if you're a single female and also if you're darker than Italian. Dead serious about that, you're not welcome. If you're a minority, you'll understand what I mean when I say you'll be frozen out. Go to literally any other Irish bar in midtown if you're looking for that warm, traditional Irish experience.

Ran in here mid-afternoon on a Saturday afternoon. At the time I was the only person in here (by the time I left another couple people came in). Went off of some of the other reviews and got one of the burgers. The did mess up the order and didn't get the bacon, but outside that it was a pretty good burger. Size and flavor were well executed. Price point is on par with what I would expect to pay at a place like this with it's proximity to Time Square. Waiter was friendly and made sure to check on me regularly. Again, they weren't crowded so not sure how that experience would be if it was a crowded weekend night. Overall, I was pleased with my visit and would come back and eat here again.

This place is the one I always prefer. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The stuff is very affectionate and the cooking they cook is so good. I never decline to have a good meal in this place. Highly recommended.

Rainy night after broadway and we were on our way back to the hotel. Stopped in because there was live music. The Apple cider was amazing. Like it was life changing. The bangers and mash tasted exactly like my parents make but with better gravy. (Don't tell my mom!) All in all it was a lovely night of music and fun.

I lived in the UK for 7 years and my girlfriend is also familiar with significant travels there, so before attending Phantom of the Opera we stopped in for dinner and a pint.
