The EWR shuttle stops right outside this little gem of a shop, and it's always my first and last stop in NYC. I usually have a couple of onigiris (kombu and mentaiko this time) and sit in Bryant Park for a bit. The ladies are constantly making fresh onigiris and I’ve never had a stale one. I have also tried their sushi, daifukus and other treats and Japanese soft drinks, and it’s just a place of comfort.
It’s such a nice cute shop/eatery in midtown. The location is super convenient. Only one street south of the Grand Central Terminal.

I tried their nigiri for the first time. I got salmon, spicy tuna, shrimp, chashu, and mentaiko ones. The size was perfect. You can tell from the generic shapes that they are most likely hand made. Went here for the first time for lunch.
I was very crowded but the staff managed to maintain the place moving in a fast and orderly manner. Had a bento box which was good.
Will continue coming here to try other Japanese goodies.
