I came into town for a work event and on my last night decided to try this restaurant solo at a bar seat. My waiter/bartendr Hector was absolutely fantastic- some of the best service I’ve ever had in NYC. I told him I was bummed since I was a solo diner and wanted to try so many things so he proceeded to get me a sample plate of the pastas and comped some of it just to let me try them all. He was also so attentive and friendly….so were the hosts and just the overall vibe was so good. Octopus and lemon pasta were BOMB. This place is awesome….highly recommend.

I came here tonight to celebrate my birthday with my mom. I had heard about this place from a food blogger who raved about the food.
It was absolutely spectacular. The food was everything I had hoped it would be. We had the sunchoke and octopus appetizer, the pesto pasta and ribeye and finished off with the lemon torte and chocolate mousse.
The sunchoke appetizer was probably my favorite. The pesto pasta was so creamy but not heavy and the ribeye was perfectly cooked and flavored.
Finally the chocolate mousse.....was out of this world. Will definitely be coming back here.
Special shout out to our server Santiago who was so welcoming, informative and all around a delight. And an additional special thank you to him for my birthday treat ❤️

Found Opto from a TikTok by @tastebywill and his recommendation did not Disappoint. Great atmosphere and comfortable seating. The Burger and Fries were Awesome. The dark Chocolate moose is a must. and Server Sonya was super nice and attentive to my requests. Will definitely be back!

One of the better new restaurants in the city that hasn’t yet (but will soon) blow up. Food and in particular the fresh produce in all the dishes was elite. The restaurant design is also the perfect blend of upscale but homely. A perfect place for a date night or a group dinner. The lobster pasta was the highlight on the menu.

I was sad when Periyali closed but this new Mediterranean spot that took the location is actually a step up. We only had a bunch of starters and every dish was perfection. Started with a unique dill infused vodka Martini. The Jerusalem bagel with labneh starter is beyond delicious. The gem lettuce salad is spectacular. The octopus is as good as any octopus dish I've ever had. Yellowtail tartar is bright and flavorful. Lemon cake dessert was irresistible. I can't wait to go back.

Great restaurant - I have been twice and the food was just as good the second time around. I highly recommend the gem lettuce salad, the yellowtail tartare (very unique flavor), the octopus and the pesto genovese. The food is delicious with a unique twist on everything. The wait staff is wonderful with recommendations- they know their food and are always happy to provide suggestions.
