Dive bar with uncertain helpStop in for a late burger/sandwich. Asked the waitress if the kitchen was open, she said "yes". I ordered a beer and after 5 minutes or so she brings the beer and a menu. Then comes back and says "I made a mistake, the kitchen is closed"!There are a ton of places to choose from in NYC, choose another.
Arrived at seven, it wasn't crowded. This place has a cool atmosphere. My apartment is far from here, so I can't visit often.
Got there about one, it wasn't busy. The service here is great.
Excellent chicken wings in sauce .. lively pub. Excellent hospitality...Very nice staff...excellent location. Lively music.
An underrated spot. It's a typical pub with an average selection of beer. The best part is the upstairs, which is partially outdoors and typically less crowded. Unfortunately the building going up next door ruins the view, but hopefully the pub stays - it's a reliable spot and is rarely crowded.
Pretty basic inside. Went in for food and a drink. Menu was limited. Service was perfunctory. Food was good (I had the chicken curry), there was plenty of chicken in the dish and it came with rice and chips (the holy trinity of rice chips and curry). My partner had the veggie burger (called "The Imposdible burger"). In her words, "it was lush". I had a taste and it did taste like beef. The kids had a side of chips each. The portions of these were large. So I guess if you want a quick pit stop for decent food and a quick drink then consider this place. Its basic and more of a bar than eatery. Don't let this put you off though. Curry, veggie burger, 2 sides of chips, a coke and 4 pints of Blue Moon came to $84 before a tip.
Brand new menu. Very nice! Great place for years and years.
Great staff. Food pretty good too. Try guacamole and crabcakes. Ambience dark but personalities overcome that!
Been going over here since the 90's. Still love it. Quiet, out of the way.
Very friendly staff and good choice on the menu at reasonable price. Ate there on the three evenings we stayed in New York. Bar area busy and loud but the tasty food made up for any excess noise.

Came upon this place as it was very close to our hotel and it was just what we needed before heading out for the night. A good old Irish pub! Can’t miss the huge bar as you walk in and, in case you missed it, there’s another one to the right! That’s plenty of drinking room and I should say, there were very few stools available. Cozy environment and dimly lit, the ambiance is on the rustic side. For appetizers we had the Dublin onion stout soup (Their version of French onion soup but with beer) and the Three Cheese Mac and Cheese. The soup was okay, not the best I’ve had but acceptable. The mac and cheese was okay as well and a large portion for an appetizer. For main, we had the Pub burger and the Pasta Bolognese. Both very good. Good experience and decent service. Will definitely return.
Felt we had to write a review when we only left the place 20 minutes ago we were that impressed! Friendly staff who couldn't do more for you and madd us feel welcome with our 11 year old daughter (she enjoyed the brownie thankyou bernie!) ... No waiting around... Not overpriced like everywhere else we have been! We love the irish bars but had been to a couple in new york city and werent impressed wish we came across this one on the first day. Just lovely friendly people and atmosphere and if we ever come back to new york we will definitely be back here!
