The whole experience felt worth every penny we spent. These people deliver consistently. The employees display sincere warmth. The dishes went beyond typically excellent fare. This restaurant won't fall short.

Oscar’s is a tiny space with outdoor seating that is considerably more commodious than the inside. Food was palatable. The staff were friendly and watching the West Village elite strolling by was probably the best feature of our experience.

I and 3 friends ate here for the first time last night. AMAZING!!!!! A very small place and how the chef and staff make it all come together is astonishing! FOOD: DELICIOUS AND SERVED UP WITH STYLE AND GOOD PORTIONS! SERVICE: ATTENTIVE AND SO EFFICIENT! ATMOSPHERE: QUIET WITH VERY NICE MUSIC OF STANDARDS AND LOW JAZZ IN THE BACKGROUND!

DO NOT BE PUT OFF BY THE SIZE OF THE PLACE — IT IS A GREAT AND RARE FIND! THE OWNERS AND STAFF YOU CAN TELL ARE PROUD OF. WHAT THEY DO!!

This was the most disguising food I have ever tasted in my entire life. Inedible. I sent the first entree back because it was so terrible and ordered something else and that was just as gross.

Charming underrated hidden gem. The kind of place you want to stay in business but hope nobody else finds it. I'm not even sure why I'm posting this review, don't tell anybody.

I absolutely love this place. I was born and raised in this area and my parents used to take me here when it was a little Belgian bistro in the early 2000’s. I had my first ever waffle here! Though it’s a different cuisine these days, the ownership has miraculously stayed the same and the food is still amazing. It’s perfect for a cozy brunch. The place is tiny, service is friendly and warm, and the food, in addition to being delicious, is generously portioned. It’s always a fun challenge to try and fit every dish on the table lol. My favorites are the eggs en cocotte, fish and chips, and of course any of their waffle dishes (obv theirs is the OG waffle in my mind). I always order a pot of tea and try to sit in the window for people watching on Hudson. Oscar’s is a neighborhood gem and I’m grateful a place like this can still exist in this neighborhood. It always brings me back to my earliest, sweetest memories.

Great breakfast. Be prepared for the smell of the grill to stick to you—it gets smoky inside.

Cozy, warm, cute place (very small!) Had a very hearty beef stew served with fries. Delicious!

While the food was fine, nothing to sing about, the service was lack luster and there we a small mice that ran through the floor
