Just had dinner at PJ Clarke’s in Lincoln Square. We were seated very quickly upon our early arrival for our 7PM reservation. From then on it was an amazing experience that the five of us will not forget. Two of us ordered Manhattans, they were excellent! American fare made well. A crowd pleaser! Your quintessential dark lit New York American restaurant and bar. You get quality familiar food and they’re not trying too hard to reinvent the wheel or be overly trendy. Try the burgers or something from the raw bar. I personally like the chopped sirloin dish.
After a movie last night my date and I made an unplanned stop for dinner at Clarke's. We were able to be seated within 10 minutes which in NYC is impressive for a Saturday. It struck me how much comfortable room the restaurant provided between tables as opposed to following suit of other NYC restaurants and cramming as many people into a space as possible.
