Ordered takeout here and the grilled chicken in my sandwich was partially raw which was… inedible to say the least.

I ordered the Green Goddess Chicken Cobb and this is what I received. Rotten tiny slice of avocado, barely any rubbery chicken, no tomatoes and no onions. If they were out of tomatoes and onions I should have been notified. They should not be serving rotten avocado! This could make someone sick. Avoid this place like the plague.

I would like to leave a great review for Michelle who works at the Madison Ave location. She was taking care of mobile orders around 1:30pm today December 2nd. Her customer service and attention to detail is truly amazing, I appreciate and value the attention she gives to guest and orders coming out. Thank you for helping me today during the lunch rush!

This is a take out only location. If you can order by app I would recommend it. A lot of commuters coming in & out. Ordering self service tablets available. Can be a wait during peak times without a lot of room to stay out of the way of other customers. Designed for convenience.

Where’s my spoon?! How am I even supposed to eat my soup? When they deliver the order, we still have to go pick it up, so everything should be ready to go. They just hand you the sealed bag, we take it and leave — then you get there and realize you can’t even eat your food. I had to grab a spoon from somewhere else! And the sandwich? A disaster. Everything was falling out, looked like cat food. They’re seriously getting worse every time.

⚠️ If you order online from Panera Bread in Manhattan, please set clear delivery time limits!
I want to warn all customers who use delivery apps (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, etc.): these Panera Bread locations often take way too long to prepare online orders — even though most of the food is already prepared and just needs to be reheated.
This problem started years ago at the Panera Bread on 10 Union Sq E, New York, NY 10003, and now it continues at several locations in Manhattan, including:
110 University Pl, New York, NY 10003
50 W 23rd St, New York, NY 10010
285 Madison Ave #102, New York, NY 10017
1359 Broadway Suite 107, New York, NY 10018
301 W 56th St, New York, NY 10019
It’s fine if an order takes 5 to 10 or even 15 minutes, but waiting 40 to 50 minutes or more makes no sense — especially when the food is already ready and just needs to be warmed up.
Many offices in the area place lunch orders before noon expecting to receive them by 12:20 or 12:30 PM, but sometimes drivers wait until 1:00 PM or later.
The staff often tells drivers to wait outside and can be rude or disrespectful, showing no care for delivery workers or customers.
I’ve been a delivery driver in New York City for 9 years, and I’ve seen many restaurants handle online orders professionally — but not Panera Bread. Their attitude is arrogant, and the service has become worse over time.
Honestly, I still sometimes deliver from these locations, but I recommend customers set a clear delivery time limit and don’t rely on these stores for fast or respectful service.

Extremely slow service. I’ve been here a few times, and it always takes at least 30 minutes even for a simple order. The prep doesn’t seem to be in order. This was my last visit

This Panera is just a to go location so there is no seating inside. I've ordered drinks to go through the app and they are ready within 2-3 minutes. You just walk up to the shelves and find the one with your name and order number. Service is quick and the place was clean.
