As my server put it, “bottomless on the way in, bottomless on the way out!” She was joking, of course — this was actually a pleasant little brunch spot.

We just had a few drinks and some Brussel sprouts at the bar but both were very good as is the vibe.

Despite the freezing weather, we were determined to go out and celebrate my friend’s birthday, so we headed to one of our favorite East Village cozy spots.

We began by sharing the Chèvre Chavignolle, which was perfect for the table. The warm, slightly melted goat cheese paired beautifully with the sweet balsamic dressing on the salad.

We also ordered the classic Moules Marinières, served with an impressively large portion of fries, along with a side of nicely glazed Brussels sprouts to share. I had the salmon with a creamy, buttery sauce that was well balanced. My friend ordered the lobster bisque, which was a bit watery
along with the endive salad. The salad was generously sized and easily shareable.

The only downside was that we specifically came for the Vegetable Lasagna and Short Ribs which were not available. They were also out of most of the wines.

Service was excellent. Our waiter was funny and charming and even remembered it was my friend’s birthday, playing “Dancing Queen” as he brought out the candlelit Apple Tarte Tatin we had ordered.

Great experience at PMF ! Super nice service, high quality meals (like their delicious bone marrow, incredible steak au poivre..) and overall ambiance is friendly and beautiful. The boss (Anthony) really cares about his guests and super nice too. I highly recommend !

incredible meal, Anton the owner was very nice & generous. Dry aged steak was one of the best I’ve had in the city. Amazing staff & the space was lively but not too loud, able to have a conversation while upbeat music and birthday celebrations happened in the background.

We had a wonderful experience at PMF. We ordered the escargots, steak frites, frisée salad, and soup of the day, All were excellent. Francesca and Eva at the bar create a fun, relaxed atmosphere and make the best cocktails! Service was fantastic and super friendly/ personable. Great experience all around!

Service was so bad it was laughable. I’m not sure why every single staff member went out of their way to be rude from mocking us to having an attitude when asked a simple question regarding the food. Food itself was fine but absolutely not worth having to be in that atmosphere. Tons of better spots in the area.
