Pastis is a popular restaurant with a great vibe and tasty food. The outdoor seating with overhead heating was a nice touch. The creme brulee dessert was a hit, along with the other options on the menu. The servers were friendly and attentive, making the dining experience enjoyable. Prices were reasonable, averaging between $40-$60 per person. Overall, Pastis is a nice cafe with efficient service, daily specials, and a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a quick snack or drink outside of peak hours. The escargots were a bit overseasoned, but the Chicken Kiev was a favorite. The food quality is decent enough, but the last couple times the main portion size for duck was disappointing. The cheese platter for dessert is recommended. The place can be a zoo, but the host(ess) tried to accommodate even when packed. One of the best hamburgers in NYC. Cocktails were great.
