Patisserie Fouet is a Japanese dessert bar located in Greenwich Village. It is always very popular and crowded on the weekend. They are famous for their soufflé and it surprised me a lot even if I had quite high expectations.I ordered a Earl Grey flavor soufflé and it came with an appetizer and a dish of sweet bites. The appetizer is a sorbet with a crispy sugar flake with an unimpressive taste and the dish of sweet bites is super sweet. It doesn't impact the impressive Earl Grey soufflé that is so soft and fluffy. There is a plum sauce that comes with the soufflé. It is sweet with a little bit of sourness, which balances the soufflé at a high level. I definitely will come back and try it a second time because I haven't found another dessert bar that can serve a better one.Besides, I tried a soba pudding and a stewed beef rice. Soba pudding has a strong flavor of soba and it tastes very rich and creamy. I would recommend it if you are sick of regular-flavor pudding. As for the stewed beef rice, it is very surprisingly delicious. I cannot believe I can have such a great meal in a dessert bar. The rice tastes better than in lots of restaurants. The beef is very tender and tasty cooked with soy sauce.

Ordered their sesame latte with oat milk and it’s heavenly! It’s similar to the traditional black sesame dessert soup from Asia and they nailed it! Smooth, thick and creamy- would recommend enjoying it with a spoon ?

I shared an afternoon tea set at lunchtime with another person. The sandwiches were awesome. The desserts were a mixed bag. They were all cold. The cold desserts were delicious. The cold pound cake and the cold mochi macarons, not so much. These needed to be room temperature. When I took the mochi macarons home, they were delicious at room temp! The seating is limited - about 4 tables and 6 stools at the bar.

It’s good but not mindblowing. The Soba desert was my favorite it tastes so gentle and not too sweet! The cheescake when you dig on it tastes flavorful and rich in varieties of

Pastries were creative, beautiful and delicious. The service left a lot to be desired. The servers were a little rude. They left us sitting at the bar for a while before telling us we had to order at the desk, didn’t explain how the menu worked, made us wait outside while waiting for a table but mostly they weren’t friendly at all.

I love French and East Asian fusion patisserie, and @fouetnyc is another one in the city that blends Japanese flavor into French pastries! I liked the subtle hint of Japanese tastes such as shiso, and it felt like eating desserts back in Asia.Only downside is that the space is quite cramped and loud with people coming and going close to your table, so felt a bit pressured.

My absolute favorite cafe in Manhattan—the best Japanese inspired desserts ever. The soufflés are out of this world! I highly recommend.

They seem very popular and their desserts look very cute. I wanted to try them, but the lack of professionalism I experienced from the employees took away my desire to eat them. Each table was occupied, so my name was written down and I joined the wait list. I was told to wait outside, but since it was very cold day I decided to wait inside. I was the only person waiting for the table anyway. While I was waiting two ladies entered the establishment and they were immediately seated... I confronted employees about this and they look very confused, they didnt know what to do... What is the point of the wait list if they don't even follow it... It was really disappointing... I just imagine If I waited outside like they told me to, they would definitely forget about me... Also when I was leaving I noticed this establishment have letter B. Maybe it's a good thing I didn't eat there... ??????

The desserts are beautiful to look at, but they don't deserve the price paid. I didn't like them.

the strawberry shortcake is not as good as I expected it to be. It has multiple layers but the overall flavor is honestly not the best. Also I don’t think it is even strawberry shortcake anymore, it add so many other things that actually distorted the simple formula. I would actually rename it at this point. Feel like I get deceived by the look. However, staffs are very cute and friendly.
