Lots of vegan choices, food was very tasty, and portions were large, especially for NYC. I had the chickpea fries for appetizers— it was very tasty but a bit spicy for me (menu did indicate that it had Indian spices) and was not oily at all. I had the pumpkin sandwich —it had a sweet flavor profile, but adding the tempeh (which was very savory) balanced it a lot. Spelt bread was fresh and hearty. Had a good selection of house-made vegan cakes and pasties, which I took home to share with my family.

Amazing fresh takes on vegan food. Filling and good proportions and plenty of veggie variety. The staff is super enthusiastic and very passionate about the impact of veganism. I had the burger, crab cakes, and nachos.

I have a huge sweet tooth and eat a lot of dessert on a daily basis. I dont often eat vegan desserts and even with alllll the amazing bakeries in NYC, I highly recommend Peacefood for their desserts. They are rich and moist and decadent. Try everything. DEFINITELY get a cake slice.
The service is good. Staff is friendly and helpful. My water cup was always filled.

I enjoyed lunch here on a Sunday morning at my friend’s recommendation, just after they opened, and we had such a wonderful vegan meal. This is easily one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and incredibly considerate. I can already tell this will be my new go-to spot!
I ordered the miso tahini sprout sandwich, which was absolutely delicious, while my friend had the fluffy quinoa salad. Everything was light, fresh, and perfectly balanced—no excess oil or grease like you often find with other sandwiches, and the proportions made it easy and enjoyable to eat.
For dessert, I tried the vegan carrot cake, and it was one of the lightest, most flavorful desserts I’ve had in ages. Truly a standout experience all around.

Horrible service!! They bring out all the food at the same time which is terrible and their reaction when we asked them about it, was a rude unapologetic, “this is how we do it” but they never told us they will bring all the food at once. So we hade to race to eat the food before it gets cold. Food not that great, very high in calories without much taste. We will never go there again.
