“I visited Ravagh Restaurant in NYC yesterday, a place I have been to multiple times before. The food is consistently very good, the vibes are pleasant, and the service is decent overall.\n\nI ordered the sultani kabab this time, and the beef was outstanding. The flavors and tenderness really stood out and made the dish memorable.\n\nTheir service could use some improvement, and while the food is enjoyable, it is not fully traditional Iranian cuisine. They include several Middle Eastern dishes that are not part of Persian culinary customs, which seems to be a choice to cater to their regular customers, many of whom are Arab.\n\nOverall, it remains a solid spot with delicious food, and I give it 4 out of 5.“

“Hands down the best Persian restaurant in NYC. Forget Sofreh, you want real Persian food? Come to noosh. It’s a mom and pop shop with an amazing outdoor space, specialty cocktails and best part? Normal prices. Their Fasanjoon is out of this world. Literally the best I’ve had. Their sabzi is incredible, the Shiraz salad is as good as it gets with the freshest veggies and the koobideh kebab is amazing. What are you doing with your life if you haven’t been here?“

You know a restaurant is excellent when all you’ve had is their artisanal bread served with homemade butter, homemade yogurt turned into a dip, and homemade mortadella—yes, mortadella— and you’re thinking, “wow, I could eat just this, served with a bottle of wine…. I’d be more than satisfied.” And, also at this point thinking “when am I going to come back?”

Not your typical kebab affair. It’s better. I promise. I was introduced to a world of Persian food I’ve never had at a restaurant before at a level of quality that is reserved for fine dining establishments.

This is an elevated dining experience that is meant to be shared. And yes, there is a vibe too. Attention to detail with every dish that the chef explained to me is painstakingly made from scratch —yogurts, marinades, preparation taking days, with ingredients sourced locally. Warm, knowledgeable staff to boot, too.

The drink menu is legit. Think Persian twists on classic drinks—-but executed well, where other twists often fail. The best espresso martini in Williamsburg. Perhaps the city. My wife said the best she’s ever had.“

“Soooo happy my husband and I find this gem of a restaurant! Best Iranian food ever! I don't eat red meat or pork, so I stick to chicken and let me tell you I could eat the chicken kebab and saffron rice every single day of my life I swear!😋 The bread is Persian bread, I can't think of the name, but omg delish! We eat inside atleast twice a week, the restaurant is always clean and spotless, and Ellie is our usual server: she's truly the greatest! Friendly, Efficient and just the sweetest young woman to talk to. All of the young ladies that work there are super sweet. With the world being so crazy and backwards right now, It's really nice to know we have a quiet little spot we can go to enjoy a great meal in such authentic atmosphere!“
