The cherry and blueberry pies were delicious. However, I would expect the pie to be served on a plate if I ordered it for dining in – instead, we ate at the table from takeout boxes. Furthermore, the service was off-putting from the very entrance – the girl seemed irritated by our mere presence.

Happened to walk by on a stroll from Chinatown to the East Village on a Sunday afternoon. We were struck by the cute storefront and great selection of pie flavors and ingredients.
We went with the brown butter honey pecan slice and found it disappointing for a few reasons: the proportion of nuts to sweet filling, the use of pecan bits (rather than halves), and the filling. Despite not using corn syrup the filling had no pecans mixed through it and was very jelly-like.
A modest-size slice for $8 surely can deliver on quality if not quantity?

We recently ordered a whole NY sour cherry pie for the July Fourth. It was our dream cherry pie! Not too sweet--the perfect balance of tartness and sweetness. Topped with vanilla ice cream it was sublime! The crust was flakey and stayed delicious next day. Delivery was on time, they communicated promptly, and the pie arrived in the perfect shape. Will order again for sure!!!

This was our first time in New York and this place was highly recommended. We had an apple pie crumb with ice cream. Absolute delight and were served very warmly by Kaaya !! Well done !!
Chocolate Tart stole the show! Omg I ate half of it in one serving and if I hadn’t paced myself I would have finished it all in one go! The apple pie was equally as delicious. The strawberry rhubarb was a family favorite.

Their pies are very good, however, their customer service is horrible. Every time that I have visited the store their employees are rude and not welcoming. I order several pies from them per month via doordash, and once when they were out of a pie the store called to tell me that they could not fulfill my order and the other available pie was a $4 (four dollar) upcharge that they refused to waive. I asked Grace if they could make an exception, and after about 5 minutes on hold she said okay and hung up. I then called back to let her know that they can cancel the order as I do not trust them preparing it now after that experience. Just left a bitter taste in my mouth after being a loyal customer (pardon the pun). Will not be ordering from them again.

There has been a stark drop in the quality of pies from this location. The pie we received recently was extremely disappointing and far below the standard we’ve consistently come to expect from Petee’s Pies. The top cream layer is sloppy, uneven, and appears hastily and carelessly applied — it genuinely looks as if it was assembled in the dark. There are large gaps in coverage, and the presentation is embarrassingly unprofessional.
We have ordered this pie multiple times before and have always been thrilled with the quality, but the stark drop in craftsmanship this time is shocking and unacceptable.
