Absolutely delicious! Kind and welcoming staff even though it's a small space. Every dessert was amazing! Especially the pistachio eclair..devoured and still salivating.

The cakes are amazing. I just can't get over 4% charge to use a CC. Most CC processing averages 2-3%. 4% is crazy. It makes me pause and consider other cakes shops.

The pastries and cakes at Petit Chou are absolutely divine. They not only look beautiful but taste beautiful.
I think a lot of the bakeries that have gone viral are severely overhyped. Petit Chou stands out because everything I have had from this bakery has been good.
Their chocolate chip cookie is also among the best in NYC.
The bakery doesn't have much seating. There is one counter with 4 chairs. And a second standing only counter. It can feel a bit cramped if you are enjoying your treats inside the bakery on a busy day.
Petit Chou has crazy delicious pistachio eclairs.

Petit Chou is a charming East Village bakery that leans heavily into the elegance of choux pastry, and when it works, it truly shines.
We sampled a range of pastries: the tiramisu chou delivered a confident, assertive coffee note (refreshingly not timid), while the tropical cake stood out for its well-balanced coconut base. The pumpkin cake was pleasant and seasonal, though subtle. The raspberry dessert was the clear favoriteāits flavor skewed gently savory, allowing the fruitās natural acidity to come through. By contrast, some of the other desserts leaned a bit too sweet for my palate, which slightly dulled their more nuanced flavors.
I also tried the viral breakfast croissant sandwich. It was perfectly fineāwell-executed, comfortingābut ultimately didnāt justify the hype. Solid, but not memorable.
The true hidden gem here is their pre-order chou box: 16 mini choux for $45, which feels like an exceptional value in NYC. Itās an ideal option for parties or kidsā birthdays, and the bakery is thoughtful about accommodating requests such as no nuts or no chocolateāan underrated but meaningful detail.
Seating is very limited: four high stools that feel quite intimate when fully occupied, plus standing room for two or three people. This is more of a grab-and-go spot than a place to linger.
Despite the minor critiques, Petit Chou excels where it matters most. Iāll absolutely be backāspecifically for their beautifully executed chou pastries, which are the heart and soul of this bakery.

A favourite place for high quality and delicious pastries that are always fresh. Highly recommend their earl grey eclair and their guava cream puff. Both so so good - but Iāve honestly never had anything less than delicious from here! Just canāt go wrong :)

all pastries look very good and well done but I think we should be able to look at them from outside and then from inside and still be greeted (no response to our greeting) and without getting an eyeroll and a nasty attitude when we leave. please learn how to interact correctly with potential customers, this is really poor service.

Petit Chou brings quiet Parisian elegance to Brooklyn. The mille-feuille is crisp, creamy, and beautifully layered, showcasing refined technique. Service is polite, if slightly distant, and prices reflect its boutique feel. A small but elegant patisserie best enjoyed with a calm morning coffee and an appreciation for craftsmanship over indulgence.
