I took my girlfriend on our first date to Phebe's. That was almost 45 years ago. Good food and pleasant atmosphere, then. I'm glad that it's still there and that things haven't really changed . I hope and plan to visit soon. I'm looking forward to a Phebe Burger.
Looking for some amazing comfort foods and signature dishes then Phebes is your place. I was told there are a few locations but we dined at the Bowery location. Great customer service food was on time warm and tasty. Be sure to check out the Brussels sprouts.Vegetarian options: You could order the veggies there a few on the menu.

DON’T COME TO THIS BAR UNLESS YOU WANT RUDE SERVICE.The doorman (security/bouncer?) was super rude and unprofessional. We asked for the food menu and he just yelled at us because we didn’t hear what he said before? He can really ruin your whole night’s mood so go at your own risk.

Extremely rude and unprofessional bouncer. We had a small group, all of us 22, try to go to the bar last night. The bouncer (he said his name is Jose) told two of us that their IDs were fake. We assumed this was just a mistake and tried to resolve it politely. But instead of taking another look at the IDs, he then said he had the right to refuse service to whoever he wanted and told all of us to leave. After we walked out, he put up his middle fingers at us.The IDs are clearly real and have never been an issue. The two girls who were rejected are both Indian, so I’m not sure if it was racism or just a weird power trip, but this is unacceptable regardless.

Nice resto bar near to a busy area but with good space, we just had a drink but it was Ok, it could use some more chairs and a couple of high tables as many people just stand while drinking.
