We went here last night to celebrate my daughter's 19th birthday and our waiter Sebastian was incredible, the food and drinks were excellent, and the music was a vibe ( thank you for sharing the awesome playlist with us ☺️) I hope to see again soon xx

Family dinner for 8, we had a feast from the prefix menu. So much excellent food and service. I actually now prefer this location over others!

Me and my husband had a great time. The food was good. The staff was good. We definitely recommend it.

We went expecting high-end but definitely didnt get that vibe once we entered. People very casually dressed in urban street wear at the bar having loud conversations. Felt like we were at sports bar for a moment. When those patrons left it was quiet again and we were able to enjoy conversation and food for a few minutes until they turned the music up. Music was very loud just like a pub. Maybe we misunderstood what vibe the establishment promotes but for the price point you would expect a better ambience. The food itself was very good so no complaints there. Service could be better. I think our guy was maybe new. He spilled our champagne, he couldn't explain a few of the dishes and but was overall polite.

Have been going to this restaurant at its UES location for 20 years. First time at the 16th street location which is sub-ground level so you are in a nice basement. Serice was excellent. The food was very good as always however the prices are astronomical. We were a party of 5 and we had- 1 soup, 2 orders of dumplings, 2 chicken dishes, 2 beef dishes, 1 broccoli, 1 green beans, 1 lo mein, 1 fried rice, 1 chicken satay, 1 cosmo, 1 beer for...drumbeat...$429.00. This included the mandatory 20% tip. Sorry but definitely not worth it.

They tried sitting us right in front of the entryway saying that was all available It was an uncomfortable location. So we sat at the bar for dinner and drinks. The food, service and drinks were all good.

This will probably be my family's yearly event. We had a great time and the food & service was IMPECCABLE!! I am an early bird so we had a 1700 booking which was perfecto; not crowded, comfy seating & just overall excellent service. If anyone is looking for good food in a great setting then Philippe Chow is your spot....& NOOOO I didn't get paid to write this post😊

Upon arrival they had not read the specifications of our reservation, we waited about 10 minutes to be seated at the bar. The service was good as was the food. When paying the bill they included a 20% tip (for two people) without giving us the option to decide. It was good but I don't know if I would come back.

This was our first time at the downtown location. We frequented the East 60th street location. But we weren't disappointed. Our server Daniel was amazing! We would like him when we come back. Thanks again and Happy New Year!

Service, drinks and ambiance were great as always! But the food came out cold on hot plates twice. Our server was really nice during the inconvenience. This was my first experience of this kind here. Things happen, we'll be back!

Everything was great! Food was absolutely delicious and so flavorful. I really enjoyed the green beans with the black bean sauce😍 Also the spare ribs were cooked to perfection! All of our cocktails were amazing too. Can't wait to come back!

It was great - the only reason for the four stars is because it was so busy that the service was a little slow and the food arrived a little cold. This is unusual for philippe chow as it is excellent and it I would not hesitate in returning

This is literally my fav restaurant im so disappointed the server fell with our app in hand rite next to us the sauce got on my 3000 dollar boots he said barley anything he came back out with the app in seconds so clearly it was the Same calamari he fell with and the lobster fried rice one of my faves had zero lobster ! Im so disappointed I've been here coming here for yearsssss do better guys the server even spilled water on our table said nothing he was a Asian short man he was so flustered just watching him run back n forth was alarming im a hospitality manager i could see what section was his and he had a total of 4 tables idk why he was so flustered but not good

A great Peking duck meal wrapped with fabulous service. Edis - the manager and Adam - our waiter made it very special

While the noise level was high, it fit the ambience. Fun and full of spirit. What was disappointing was the food. Greasy, tasteless spring rolls, beef satay that was unidentifiable as such, and noodles that were on par with the ones we had earlier in the day at the Museum of Natural History cafeteria were not what we were anticipating. Even the sea bass was a disappointment, but somehow saved due to its simplicity (although the supposed ginger sauce tasted a lot like onion). We really had hoped for much better. Also, if you have accessibility issues, be prepared to go to the neighboring hotel, hope you find someone with the right badge for the elevator, then enter the restaurant through the kitchen hallway, from behind a blanket, and through the bathroom area first. Overall, this city has much better choices available.
