I would give it six stars if I could. Ate spanikopita, baklava, orange pie, lentil salad, and chickpea salad. All were exceptional. Star of the show was the lentil salad as the sherry vinegar dressing really shines thru alongside the green onions. Orange pie was a powerful experience as well. Not too sweet and perfectly moist. Will be back. Yammas.

My children and I enjoyed a mousakka served at room temperature at 6:45 pm on December 20. In retrospect, a bad idea since it had clearly been stored in the display like that since the morning.
Like clockwork, we began stomach cramps around bedtime, then rotated in and out of the hotel bathroom through the wee hours of the morning. And within a few hours of each other, recovered (around 24 hrs in total). Textbook food poisoning.
Called the restaurant but no follow up. Spoke to our drs and the NYC health department, and narrowly avoided the ER for my small child on vacation.

Quintessential SoHo establishment. Small, quaint and has the BEST baklava I’ve ever had (my Lebanese relatives make an authentic one which I use for comparison) and small cookies which are very flavorful without relying on a bunch of sugar in the batter. Really outstanding and the coffee is wonderful too.

Pi Bakerie has really become my go to local coffee shop in SoHo. It’s one of those places that manages to feel both casual and elegant at the same time. The space is bright, warm, and always smells like fresh baked pastries right out of the oven. They serve excellent coffee perfect for starting the morning or taking a mid day break and their Greek dishes are genuinely authentic and flavorful. I’ve tried a few of their salads and each one has its own personality, but the watermelon feta salad really stands out with its refreshing balance of sweet and savory. The orange cake is another must try moist, fragrant, and perfectly sweet without being heavy. They also offer several different types of baklava, including some modern or “downtown” variations that are a fun twist on the traditional Greek classic. Everything I’ve ordered has always been fresh and beautifully presented. The staff here are consistently friendly, attentive, and seem to genuinely enjoy what they do, which adds to the overall atmosphere. Whether you’re stopping in for coffee, lunch, or dessert, Pi Bakerie is a gem in SoHo that never disappoints.
