I appreciate that they are offering a vegan menu even though it’s mostly heavily processed plant based meat substitutes. However, like most non vegan places, you should expect heavy contamination by non vegan stuff. Probably worse than most places, to be honest. Your “vegan” sandwich ingredients are going to be grilled on the flat top next to a seeping mountain of horrors you wouldn’t eat. Sound appetizing? Go for it.
Late night delivery order. Unfortunately my drink was missing. Fries were undercooked and not seasoned at all - no condiments provided. BLT was ok - as described. Would try something else if I return.

The food was freshly made and there wasn’t a long wait but I believe it’s cooked on the same grill as the rest of their non-vegetarian offerings. The signage on the outside for Plantega isn’t on the awning; it’s standing on the ground so if you don’t pay attention, you’ll walk right by and miss it. I will go back again and try something else. Just like the “real” sausage, egg and cheese - I forgot to ask and missed the added taste of salt and pepper!
Vegetarian options: They have a complete “plant-based” menu as well as typical deli food that includes meat and chicken.

They Lied it says it's Vegan Restaurant on Google But it's Deadly Meatie Restaurant, i drove 30 minutes to place on Hungry stomach and when i get there it's nothing like Google says. It's DeLi Store and it's not Restaurant, i hope God punish them for lying. Why waist other people's Time.

First time trying the Plantega menu, it was amazing! Had the Bacon, Egg & Cheese and the Chicken Quesadilla, and I’m looking forward to trying other deli classics soon

They don’t have a separate grill for their vegan sandwiches and the entire deli reeked. It smelled like cooking / rotting flesh. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.
Quick service, good burrito, reasonable price. I am just visiting New York and the plantega thing is amazing.
This is not really a restaurant: it is a bodega/deli, with the typical bodega/deli type items, including (meat) burgers, sausage, ham, etc. There is no dining in or seating--all takeout. It is located near Mt. Sinai Hospital, the Tuskegee bus terminal, and Central Park. For vegans, they offer juices and also Plantega vegan items which they cook on the grill. I went there today, and asked if they cooked their vegan items on a separate grill (as do some other bodegas that advertise vegan items, including at least one that is not too far from this place). I was told apologetically that they do not: the Plantega vegan items are cooked on the same grill as their meat items. This deli is small, and I sympathize--even so, I do not feel comfortable eating items cooked on a meat-laden grill, so I didn't order anything. There is a Le Pain Quotidien across the street, as well as a Joe and the Juice place next door, in case you are in the area and would like something vegan. If you, unlike me, are not bothered by the Plantega items being cooked on the same grill as the meat items, you might want to give this place a try. Or if they change their policy and do start to provide a separate grill for their vegan items, please let us know in your review. But unless things change, my own opinion is that their heart's in the right place....but not their grill.
