IT IS NOT ITALIAN! We were passing through and stopped based on the positive reviews (only later did we realize that they were reviews from non-Italian people). The place is not nice, the staff is nice. There are Italian dishes on the menu, we order the pasta and after less than 5 minutes they bring it to us (the pasta cooking time exceeds 8/10 minutes minimum) in fact when we tasted it we realized that it was pre-cooked pasta. We don't finish the dish, we pay and leave because only the name is Italian here.

Small, unobtrusive place. Quick service. Wait staff was really nice. Decent pricing. Pretty good Italian. The salads looked fresh and delicious. My chicken parm was good, not great. They brought bread to our table and cups of water. This place does a lot of takeout. Not a place I necessarily want to visit again but it was worth a stop. It's right around the corner from some of the hotels which make a decent place to grab a quick bite if staying nearby.

In a very busy neighbourhood. The employees were friendly and the food is fresh. Even if it is pre-made they at least warm the food before they put it in your to-go bag. This is a neighbourhood place not really a date night, unless who your date is lol. Either way, it is a great place in a neighbourhood that does not pride itself on reviews or promotions. Quality.

Delicious food! Amazing soup and sandwich. No frills place, but the food is worth it. Pickup is faster than delivery.

Delicious tasty lasagna. We both got this and brought it back to our hotel, just down the road. Very good sized portions, came with a slice of bread and a small pot of parmesan. Highly recommend.

We were tired after a day in NYC and just needed something close to our hotel on W 39th Street. We fancied pasta and found Pomodoro online. From prior reviews, we knew not to expect much from the interior. We arrived and felt apprehensive as it is tired looking. The young man at the counter was friendly enough. We ordered to go, opting to just eat back at the room, and the two of us both had lasagna. It was a good sized portion, with a slice of bread and a little pot of parmesan included, making it extra good value for money. What can we say, the Lasagna with meat sauce was delicious!! A real treat in a city where so many places either overcharge or offer inauthentic fare to tourists. We loved it and recommend the food to anyone who isn't fussed about the actual premises. I didn't get to try the sandwiches but the selection looks very inviting, and you could tell by some on-display prepared salads that the ingredients would be fresh.

We were staying at the hotel across the street, so we ordered take-out from here one evening. The food was quality and a great value for what we paid.We shared the arugula salad, which was pretty large. It had slices of tomato, thin-sliced parmesan cheese, and a tasty balsamic dressing.I had the mushroom ravioli, which had a great mushroom stuffing. It came with a flavorful pink sauce. It came with a good-sized side salad of greens and tomatoes. My friend had a ham & cheese sandwich that had a mustard sauce on it.Everything was fresh and delicious. There was a little confusion with the delivery because it was delivered to the part of the hotel that is for the apartment side of the hotel, so if you're staying at the Truss on the hotel side, put "deliver to hotel lobby" in the message box when you order online.

I wonder if the owner wants to be in business?!? The dude behind the counter seemed annoyed that we, the customers wanted to dine at the restaurant, as the restaurant is better suited for take outs. The guy literally brought the plates and utensils on a tray and left them on the table for us to sort out. Then, when we asked for a glass of water, he acted as if he had never heard the word "water" before. Things were so bad that we contemplated leaving in the middle of the meal. The pasta dishes were ok but certainly not worth the ridiculous (lack of) service we encountered.

Honestly at first I was hesitant upon entering because of the appearance of the store but do not let that fool you. Amazing food that is reasonably priced. I’d definitely go back the next time I visit
