This Popeyes has ruined my lunch/ dinner three times now. My family and I loveeeee Popeyes and when my sister said she’d buy us food for after a long 14 hour travel day it was a welcome surprise. She said she was going to this Popeyes because it’s closer to home but because I’ve had problems with cleanliness as well as staff attitude at this location (staff always have headphones in, can’t hear you and get mad when you call them out on their unprofessional attitude then start speaking another language and dismissing you) I always encourage her to go out of the way to the other Popeyes on the east side or 125th even which says a lot. My sister never listens because she’s never had a problem with the staff here until last week as well as today when staff insinuated she didn’t have enough money to pay for her order after trying to gaslight her into complacency. Not once but twice in less then two weeks was my dreams of Popeyes dashed and the fact that we can no longer eat at this Popeyes is truly so sad.

I went to Popeyes after a long flight, looking to get my family and I’d favorite fast food because I couldn’t help cooking. The employee didn’t greet me, I had to smile and say hi and then when I tried to give her the in store code, instead of explaining that she didn’t understand how to do it she kept trying to gaslight me into believing in store really meant online. When I finally got through to her and the coupon came up on the screen, she asked me no less then three times if I was sure I could pay for it… no less then three times I reassured her I would indeed pay and asked her why she thought I wouldn’t? She didn’t answer any of my questions just kept shaking her head side to side and saying okay, but you have money?….. after three times of this I wasn’t confident she would get my order right so I left and told her I would report this. She laughed, told me to do so as she shewed me away and then said something to her coworker who laughed as well. I reported this to the manager who told me to come in only to double down on the narrative that me not paying was the main issue when it was really micro-aggression and incompetence that led to me not receiving my order. If you are a person of color be careful with this staff. Acquaintance, friends and family have told me of this Popeyes making them uncomfortable but I haven’t had any issues into this past week (I’ve lived near here for 20+ years, so well before Popeyes was in the neighborhood. )

Edit: Gotta let you guys know it's still 🔥 i've been here 5 times since I made the last review and it gets better every time.. Nayeem and Haque are very kind and knowledgeable. Will update in 5 Visits.

The chicken wrap was okay the two piece chicken was terrible it wasn't good and the potato fries weren't good at all. I wouldn't advise anyone to go there and spend the money you might get food poisoning. For all the people that gave them five and 4 and 3 stars something wrong with you need to be honest. Tell the truth you are going to save a lot of people's life
Dont give them a 0 star cause i cant, they dont want to take the offer code just so we have to buy from the reg menu… they shouldnt be open
I always order over eats, however, my chicken is always hot, and crispy. It’s my favorite Popeyes yet.

Always forgetting stuff in my order
Give me the wrong order . I do only eat meat ., purchased a fish sandwich and got the wrong order . When I complain they simply don’t care . Always homeless ppl on there begging customers for money you can’t even sit and eat . Manager w d stuff has a nasty attitude .
Horrible customer service- I had points for a free item and they did not know how to scan for it on their end. I lost the points and they told me to contact customer service and did not even provide receipt or record of the transaction… they did not offer to contact corporate on their end and just stopped dealing with me.
Ideal hours. I wish I couldn't cook fried Cbreasts, suckuleent.

I have never in my entire life felt so much humiliation and utmost disrespected as much as I had today. I had ordered a 3 piece chicken online through the app. Apparently, the chicken was overcooked and burnt and I politely requested for fresh pieces of chicken. The server, Afrien started accusing me of doing this every time I come to Popeyes! I responded telling them, I rarely go..and then she threatened me that I cannot come back again! I am beyond disgusted and will be contacting my lawyers in filing a suit!!!

I’m an Uber eats delivery person. I happen to accept an order from this place. Upon arriving like always politely wait to get the lady’s attention and proceeded to ask for my customers order to this point is all fine until. I’m being asked to fill up drinks to my surprise. We as uber drivers are supposed to go pick up and deliver that’s out contract with uber eats. We don’t work for the establishments. I wouldn’t have mind helping but behind the counter there were 5 other people that work there so I told the lady sorry but I can help you is not part of my contract ( the lady had an attitude as well. If she was nicer about I would have mind helping)
And him had politely asked to properly pack the food and drink so it doesn’t spill, but he’ll broke down after they she grabbed the bag out of my hands and told me to cancel the order. ( I should have ) I informed them that I have more more from a different restaurant for the same person and that I wouldn’t cancel it . After I left with the food they retaliated against me by submitting a report with uber eats and questioning my professionalism. I did nothing wrong just I don’t work there and my contract with uber states that I pick up a properly packed and sealed order and deliver. Their report which is unfortunate and malicious have affected my rating and I could lose some of the benefits uber offers for being a good delivery person. I been told I can actually make a complaint with the city and could lawsuit the place .
