Nice and comfy old tavern kind of place with brisk service and large portions. The homebrew Porterhouse Irish beer is worth trying. Good alternative if you can't get a place at the more crowded Dead Rabbit and Fraunces nearby.
We stopped in and had a cocktail and sat at the bar after walking around for hours. Our phones were nearly dead from using the mapping so much during the day. I was so happy to discover a USB port right in front of my seat. What a great idea and a lifesaver since we still needed to map our way back to our hotel.
Beautiful old style place to eat, drink and be merry. The premises are truly a sight to be seen, with low ceilings, warm and soft lighting, comfortable armchairs and booths, and a cute little fireplace. The staff is smiling, helpful and polite. The lunch menu offers a variety of food that includes poke bowls, sandwiches, and some delightful mains (there are also a brunch menu and a dinner menu, with different choices). We ordered a platter for two, and it was a generous meal....
