Yesterday I had one of my best experiences in NYC in this amazing restaurant-bar with very good friends R. and A.. Everything was perfect: venue (take a look at the back room), food, service and above all excellent band! Will be there every single week 😉

My sister and I had a private event on Memorial Day Saturday to honor our father. We could not have been treated better, had our hands held tighter, or had a better experience. It was a beautiful send off for my dad with great food & drink, access to their AV system, and extremely attentive and warm service. Could not recommend this place more for a private event or to listen to music and have a drink. Many thanks to Prohibition for a seamless and bittersweet day!

Prohibition, a supper club with Jazz Age-themed decor, is a great bar located on Columbus Avenue on the Upper West Side of New York City!! I recently visited for the first time with my boyfriend + a friend of ours who was visiting the city, and we had a great experience here. :-) Shout-out to Ryan, who took great care of us behind the bar!! Prohibition's Mickey Finn Margarita is absolutely delicious - I highly recommend trying it. The atmosphere inside of Prohibition is comfortable & cozy, and I'm looking forward to trying some of their food items when I return for a visit in the future (as their kitchen was closed during our recent visit)!

The worst! They waited 10 MINUTES before our party of 8 arrived to celebrate a birthday to advise that they could only serve bar food!!! Sandra claimed that the chef was so busy with a private party that they didn't make other food!?!? We don't eat bar food! What establishment waits until 10 minutes before your customers arrive to advise of a problem - especially if there is no food!?!? Who does that???? NO CLASS

I would give this more than five stars if it was an option! We had a group of 12 of us from all over the United States, looking for a fun place to have dinner and drinks for our last night out together. Getting a reservation booked in the morning was so easy and they were so nice throughout that process. Next, we were a few minutes late for our reservation because of delayed trains. Not only where we still seated, But we were welcomed with excitement and enthusiasm like they knew us already! As if the greeting wasn’t warm enough, with only 15 minutes left to go in happy hour they sat us and took all of our orders and got everything out as fast as possible so we could fully get the most out of happy hour pricing. Then, the live music began, and it was the perfect ambience! Everyone was so patient with our large group, made it so easy for us to figure out the bill and invited us to come back next time we are all together. Some of the tastiest and smoothest drinks, with the coolest names and presentation. Definitely get the salted pretzel and pretty much everything else as well. Needless to say, Prohibition didn’t just give us a place to eat on our last night, they provided us with a memorable experience that we will all remember for years to come!

We hosted my Father's Celebration of Life at Prohibition a few weeks ago, and I cannot speak highly enough about the whole experience. My initial inquiry was responded to within two hours, on a Sunday, and that evening I had a proposal. I worked with Natalie on the details, and there was constant, and almost instant communication. Thoughtful suggestions were made on things that could add to the celebration. Cut to day of, PERFECT! It is hard to say a funeral is fun, but it was, and everyone felt it. The food was lovely, the staff was AMAZING, ambiance is great. This is a wonderful place to have a party of any sort.

I threw a 50th birthday party for my husband last Saturday night. We booked the speakeasy room in the back and had the most amazing party! The bartenders, Gabe and Cam were incredible, turning out delicious cocktails so quickly. My guests couldn’t stop talking about how great the food was. The lamb chops were a stand out - soooo good! Honestly, I wouldn’t hesitate to throw another party at Prohibition. The staff, the food, the drinks and the ease of booking made it the best party ever!!
