My fav spot in the area - good beer selections as well as cocktails so it pleases everyone in the crew. The bartenders are also so fun and such a pleasure to be around - Melissa is usually working when we’re there and is the sweetest (Makes an excellent negroni too)!

Been to this place before and loved it, and was excited to show one of my friends from the UK (who's very into crypto) all the paraphernalia... however, the service we received from the black-bob-hared barlady on a very snowy Saturday on January was some of the worst service I've ever received in NYC (and I've been here for 13 years).
My friend had to sit around for about 10 minutes on arrival to buy a drink because said barlady wandered off somewhere, and later on when I wanted a refill she was so engrossed in conversation with another customer she didn't notice me, or the other guys at the end of the bar who also wanted another pint... so off we wandered to one of the many other bars in the area.
As I noted, I've been in the past and enjoyed it, so I'd still recommend it to other folks - just on the one condition that if, on walking in you see a tall thin white black-haired lady behind the bar, you should do a 180 and try one of the many other bars in the vicinity.

Love the look of the place, especially the back area, although some bar decor has low-key Groyper energy (e.g. Pepe The Frog stuff…IYKYK). Not my people but if they are dog whistling to the alt/far-right, it’s their prerogative.
The bartender wasn’t *un*friendly per se (I’d say 6.5/10 on the friendliness scale), but was kind of inattentive and aloof. My interactions with him were pleasant enough to make me want to give it a shot (normally if I’m not feeling the service, and especially if I’m sensing an attitude, I’ll just walk out, but a friendly hello and not being ignored is all I need).
First question I asked was if they had any food. The guy politely said no, the kitchen’s closed. Cool, no worries, and I wasn’t surprised because it was late. But then 2 minutes later, three drunk blonde girls walked in, and then a few minutes later the bartender brought them something fresh from the kitchen area. Maybe it was just fries, maybe just potato chips. But I wasn’t even offered the option. The mind wonders, the mind wanders, but I chose to not take it personally. Clearly either the bartender was friends with them, or really trying to be. But then he didn’t even turn around to check on me for a good 15 minutes.
Having said that, he was friendly *enough* (again, I’m not one to expect special attention or lots of small talk…just the bare minimum level of polite and friendly service still earns 20% from me, which is what I tipped) when he did head back my way.
I just politely closed out and left. No harm, no foul. Just not inclined to go back, but I definitely would have if I had a better overall experience.

Laid back spot perfect for beers, burgers fried in beef tallow, and low-key chats
I celebrated my birthday here in a private room and my guests & I had the best time! The staff were super accommodating, the drinks were reasonably priced, the night went super smooth, and the food was amazing and did not take long to be ready despite the large amount of people. They were on time with the room set up and let me put in my own music for the private room and all my guests were asking me how I found the place because how amazing it was! Thank you for your hospitality <3

Had an event at Pubkey and will absolutely be back! The “attic” space is incredibly cozy and perfect for a private event, with great vibes all around. The staff were attentive, welcoming, and made the entire experience seamless. Highly recommend if you’re in town and looking for great drinks and an easy, fun spot to gather with friends.

Hate leaving bad reviews. The door guy was kicking everyone out saying he’s at capacity. Then i said i was going just take a tour with my buddy and he said $30 and he’ll let us stay. 15 people left and he did not let anymore people in. No bueno. Very fiat of him.

Wish I coulda stayed and got black out drunk but had to check into the hotel and explore a bit. If you’re ever in need of a place to shoot the shit with a rad bartender and do some day drinking to boot I do believe you can find this absolute Gem of a human Sundays and Mondays at least!
