Pure Green - Juice Bar Washington Heights

Clean, light atmosphere. Came close to opening time so not busy. Ordered an acai bowl. Was good only downfall didn’t really like the granola. Soft not really crunchy. Staff were friendly & quick.

The space itself was very nice and welcoming. However, I did want to share a concern regarding my interaction with a staff member. Upon entering,.

I was addressed in Spanish which I understand may have been an assumption based on appearance. When I gently responded in my native language to hint I’m from a different culture the staff member continued to speak to me in Spanish despite my clear indication that I did not understand it.

While I am not offended by being mistaken for another ethnicity,. I do find it inconsiderate to persist in speaking a language that is neither mine nor one I understand.

Given your proximity to Columbia University a diverse and multicultural environment I hope this feedback encourages more sensitivity and awareness in future interactions.

Love the vibes of Pure green(Welcoming atmosphere and lovely interior). I would recommend the smoothies the best because they are very difficult to not like if you get the right ones. The Acai bowls on the other hand are not worth it. They cost like 12 dollars for pretty small size and can be stingy with the fruits but they are extremely good quality fruits. The Acai/mixed fruits base is pretty bland and not anything insane. I would recommend skip the Acai bowls because it’s cheaper and better for you to make at home and just come for smoothies.

Bad management, lack of integrity. I was never paid for on the job training. After being promised on numerous occasions to be paid from over a year ago, I have had no luck. I am writing this review to shed light on how they treat employee prospects, not to receive any money. I was brought in for training, then I was told that they would let me know when I can start officially. After some scheduling issues I never started, but I was disappointed that I wasn’t paid for my time because I am overly entitled to that and I would not have showed up under false pretenses.

Need more establishments like this. It’s good for your health.

Staff was so lovely! But the açaí has no taste at all :( the fruit topping was good, haven’t tried the juice.

Enjoyed my mix greens smoothie and bite size snacks. The smoothie was great and nicely mixed to a creamy texture.
