Always try to stop here for a drink/snack when in NYC. The view of Times Square is outstanding. Otherwise, drinks are decent and it's not insanely priced, given the view. You are unlikely to find a better spot to get away from the madness of Times Square but also enjoy the spectacle. The House Made Kettle chips for .99 is quite the steal and the plantains were suprisingly good too.Don't fret the Times Square pricing and stop in here around dusk to enjoy a drink and watch the transition from daytime to evening (still bright as hell) in Times Square!

Absolutely dreadful experience with regard to service. Waited 30 minutes for our order to be taken. Not offered any drinks. When presented with the bill we chose to pay less than the recommended 15% tip as the service was so bad. The waiter aggressively stated that we had to pick one of the recommended tips (15%, 18% or 20%). When we said that we had left a tip but chose not to leave the recommended tip due to the poor level of service, the waiter continued to harass us and said “we had to pay one of those amounts” as we walked away. How embarrassing and why should anyone feel compelled to leave any money for sub standard service. It completely soured the experience of eating in such a fantastic location. I have previously recommended the restaurant to friends but would actively discourage anyone from visiting there again.

The service was terrible. I and my friend ordered two cocktails and the server was so rude and asked about food. I have been there and food was terrible so I didn't order food. And he gave us bill early (which we didn't ask for) and said that we can't stay here forever only ordering drinks and we stayed 1 and half hour (so rude). It wasn't even that busy like many empty tables and he said other customers were waiting for the table. I would understand that if he said it nicely and politely. drinks were soo sweet and tasteless. I went there because my friend visited the city. I won't recommend this place and NEVER go there again. He ruined our day.

We made a reservation for 3 a few weeks in advance. Initially the host was going to sit us at a cocktail table for 2 along the window. Since we were a party of 3 and were there for dinner we asked to be moved to a table with more than two chairs. There were two empty tables along the window but the host wouldn't sit us there because “she was going in order.” It was still pleasant but disappointing for my daughter. By the time we had been there 30 minutes, all of the tables along the window were empty. The food and service were what I expect from a Marriott but seeing as how we were there for the view I was underwhelmed.

Am a repeat customer; the R Lounge is one of our "go to" spots in NYC. Very nice place to hang out between shows and get a tasty drink and food. Our server was attentive but not bothersome; we place our food order shortly after arriving and it was spaced out for delivery at a comfortable pace - just as we requested.

Service was not good. Missed a drink order, circled table a few times but didn't offer another round of drinks. Food was fair, but not a good value. Location is really what you are there for.
Just a gem! All are welcome, not just hotel guest's. I feel it to be the best view of Times Square. The cocktails are generous, food is good and the team members are very nice. Reservations are really helpful, small space!

The food was good, not anything remarkable but good. The waitstaff was kind but slow. But I feel like it's typical for the city. The hostess was straight rude. She yelled at me when I asked to move tables. However, the view was amazing. I have taken tons of trips to the city and this place is a new must go for the view.
Great vibe and views. Marlene provided us with the most friendly and familial service where we felt like we were at our favorite local restaurant, and not in the epicenter of the world!

We visited here on a Friday evening having booked in advance due to a friend’s recommendation. The lounge juts out into Times Square giving it a great location where you feel immersed yet away from the hustle and bustle. We ordered beers, a pizza and a watermelon salad. The food was good and the service was friendly and attentive. A great experience that I would recommend if you want to experience Times Square in a calm and relaxed environment.

This is the 2nd time we've come here, it is absolutely beautiful view, you are sitting in the middle of time square. It's a spectacular view - even if it's just for a drink. The food while it is very good, the menu is limited. We've had the cheese board, the filet mignon and the salads - we had the chocolate cake for desert which was nice. I would totally recommend going - the view is worth it.
