Food was amazing and wait staff very responsive. However, do not sit at the row of tables against the wall. It's an extremely tight fit and I am a small person with short legs. Also, tables are set so close to each other that table has to be pulled out completely for bench customer to get up. Issue if you have to get up during the meal.

Spur of the moment date night, and happened to stumble upon RAF’s. Instantly had a warm and happy welcome. We were seated with Irving, who quite literally made our whole night. Of course food and drinks were more than stellar, and only complimented by how personable kind and warm Irving was. Will be back as often as we can. Our new favorite NYC gem

We really wanted to love this place. The pasta was good, but the service was disappointing. The woman at the front desk, with the weird hairstyle, was rude and unprofessional, which made for a bad first impression. At the bar, the waiter tried to charge us for an extra drink. I usually don’t double check the bill, but we were overcharged. He apologized, but it didn’t feel like a one off mistake.

Staff was warm and welcoming. Host was friendly, remembered us with no ticket for our coats- a small but impressive gesture in the current climate. Room is cute, tables are a bit too close, so you can hear the fellow diners- not a super private vibe, but cozy. The oysters were top dish- the bread and butter and spaghetti dish were both simple and excellent. Sadly, the steak tasted mostly of salt; to the point it hurts to your mouth. It's a beautiful cut and the moments of flavor I did get were excellent; but the wall of salt flavor really kills a premium cut like that. The table next to us had the chicken and was raving; would go back and get the chicken but skip the steak. Opera cake dessert is beautiful, not crazy exceptional but worth finishing the meal with.

Not worth the money. The bread appetizer was really nothing, challah, sour dough, and focaccia 2 slices each for that price! Pork ragout was a small portion, coffee bitter. Didn't even want to go for the “pasties” that were on display at the bar. Restaurant design is very nice but for the overall value, not sure what the rave is for.

Salad was good, ravioli was good, fish was good, chicken was dry and came 10 minutes after the fish. There was no making up for it by the waiters, and the service was spotty and snooty at times. Restaurant needs to get it more together. Not sure where the attitude comes from with a number of issues and just good food, mostly.

Took them two hours to bring out a yogurt parfait and a grilled chicken salad. They kept apologizing and saying they messed up but didn't do anything to make it right other than give us free French fries in the two hours we waited. They said they'd give us free dessert too to make it up to us, but as soon as we were done eating they rushed us out, I think because it was about 4pm and they were closing. Such a disappointing experience, won't be going back.
