Rosa Mexicano is a staple in my repertoire. The food and drinks are always delicious and come at a decent price and speed.I’ve been here many times, both for a dining experience and at the bar and have never been displeased with the food or service. It does get busy so don’t expect a quiet, spacious environment at 7pm on a Thursday.Positive experience, hands down.Kid-friendliness: They must be very kid-friendly because I’ve dined numerous times where kids were actually running through the restaurant, which was no fault of the restaurant—just the patrons.

So many issues with basic service quality here:The hostess was quite rude and referred to my wife as "my husband" because she has a foreign name and made the reservation. I also had to spell it out and explain it several times to her.Wouldn't let us sit at the table or look at the menu because a member of our party was running 10 minutes late because of subway rush hour. I could've gotten drinks or decided what to order, but instead was rushed because we had a concert to catch. When we did sit down the menu had big globs of food and grease smeared inside it.Food was pretty good I guess, but nothing super memorable. Pretty expensive for average Mexican food and awful service.
Great ambiance both upstairs and downstairs. Very attentive service, no rush, good diverse menu, excellent guacamole made at the side of your table. The chips are fresh and warm, salsa varieties are outstanding, from mild to spicy. Overall a great place to go to enjoy an evening of good food with friends and family.
We went for lunch on a Wednesday. The upstairs apparently is not open week days, so we had to sit downstairs. Not very nice ambience. Otherwise food and service fine- guacamole made at the table the highlight. None better.
Everything is great I would give 5 star but table is very small not enough space to eat comfortably. I ordered pretty big meal for my husband and I , table was super small therefore I had to ask waiter to remove water from table.
It was a very good
The atmosphere here is amazing- the food is pretty good too, it’s honestly hard to find good Mexican food in the city, but this is one of the good onesDietary restrictions: Make sure to ask about gluten free options, we had to work around a dish with gluten in it
Not seated in dining room at 7 on Sunday. Small table too small for dinner. Guacamole had no spice. Asked for spicy salsa to add and it tasted oddly. Appetizer came with main meal. So too many plates on small table. Duck carnitas tasted horrible with slimy consistency. Pork was better.
Although it was crowded when we arrived, we were greeted and seated on time with our reservation. The staff was helpful and attentive. The guacamole, prepared tableside, was fresh and delicious. The main courses were excellent as well, as were the drinks. The setting from the upper level was dramatic, with views toward Lincoln Center outside and the water feature on the indoor wall.
the food and service are excellent. While the ambience is lovely, it is a highly noisy place, a bit too loud if you go at peak hours, especially pre-concert and other Lincoln Center events. that not withstanding, it is a definitely to go place in the Lincoln Center area.
Took advantage of the Restaurant Week menu. 3 appetizers and 3 different entrees to choose from but only one dessert item. Food was ample but the steak was tough. Not my best meal there.
It was a lovely experience. They gave us a table right away, the waiter was kind and they were super fast with our order. We had their signature frozen margaritas and they were amazing. The nachos were delicious and the churros were the best that we've ever had (the portion was ideal for two people).Only thing that we didn't like that much was that the tables were too close together on the first floor (but we didn't have a reservation) and it was a bit noisy, but overall great experience, will be back!

Had a wonderful lunch. Easy to talk, beautiful environment, excellent food.

With the exception of two extremely loud children, it was a nice time. It was not at the fault of the restaurant, nor do I think it's common. I've never heard children so screeching loudly. One was even throwing things at the stairs. Including plates of food. Just one of those days I guess!
We went for Sunday brunch and it was even better than we had hoped. The food was delicious and the portions were sizable. The service was stellar. Of course, the highlight was the option for the bottomless brunch cocktails!! We tried most of them and they were all terrific. One more thing...when we got the bill we thought there might have been a mistake...we thought we might have been UNDER charged. But everything was there....it's just that good a value! Go there! You're welcome!
