Everything was on point. This is a nice hidden gem for pre-theater. Good pre-theater fixed menu too. Beautiful interior, excellent food, friendly service. Very close to most theaters. And it's not loud, like other places. Go here.

Super fun, yummy, and easy pre-theater dinner spot. Great drinks and loved the "girl dinner" special, too- looking forward to going back another time soon!

Very nice Restaurant, nice staff But a Little too unattentive… the waitress walked By my table several times before clearing it. Both of my Dishes had a lot of garlic inside, for my personal Liking too much. Everything Else was very good and i Could have a quick Dinner before attending a Broadway

Really good burger! A solid $16 glass of Prosecco and lovely little Broadway details in the interior. Underrated spot for a pre-show meal !

Ate there this evening before attending Hadestown. We ordered off the prix fixe pre-theater menu and everything was superb! Amish chicken; Gnocchi and the steak au poivre were all very tasty and my steak was cooked a perfect rare. Drinks, desserts and the service were also excellent. Highly recommended.

The worst experience of my life. To begin with, my family made a reservation for Saturday brunch because they wanted to surprise me and when we arrived at the place they told us that they hadn’t tables if we wanted we could wait at the bar 20-30 minutes until they had a table, which makes no sense, THAT’S WHAT RESERVATIONS ARE MADE FOR. Then the service was super bad, the waitress very rude, she didn’t even say hi to us, she just tried to rushed us to order. The food was good, good flavor, good variety, but quite overpriced for the experience. I don’t complain that it’s expensive, but I would find in the area a much better place and with the same or more prices together with better experience. I definitely won’t come back.

Rosevale is a great theatre district option. Before shows we are always super hard-pressed to find a place in the neighborhood that is any good. Looks like finally we have a winner!
Every single thing we ordered was delicious. We had the bread, the chicken, the branzino, the gnocchi, and the chocolate mousse. Particular highlights were the chicken with panzanella and the chocolate mousse. Yum! Such a pleasant surprise for a random hotel restaurant in Hells Kitchen lol.
The room is very pleasant, although maybe a bit basic. The service was great - super attentive and friendly.
Highly recommend!

This is a cool spot that has a different vibe on each floor (3 floors total). I ate dinner on the first floor which was amazing and so was the service. On the second floor is a cocktail lounge with live music and light bites. Then, the third floor was a rooftop. So there's something for everyone to enjoy. What I loved the most is the entire place offered a late happy hour. I'll definitely be back to visit on my next trip to New York.

The food was incredible but the service was abysmal. The hostess was really nice but that is where it stopped. There were stains on the glass, I asked for a new glass the waitress didn't say anything, just took it and kept walking didn't acknowledge it at all. She then proceeded to not say a word to either myself or my companion until we asked for the check. It also took forever for my dessert to come out when I had got the pre fixe which is supposed to be an hour experience, it was not. We had to ask for more water since my dirty glass was already filled. I think there was training or shadowing going on and the woman that was being trained was more polite than the one training. We really loved the food but the service is why we wouldn't return or recommend

Beautiful restaurant and cocktail lounge. Jazz performance was so nice. It was pricey but worth it for a special occasion.

Rosevale Kitchen has a lot going for it, starting with the decor—it's a beautifully designed space, though I wish they had better control over the lighting. The dimmed lights are so low that it was a struggle just to read the menu. Another downside is the noise level. The tile walls amplify every sound, making the place much louder than it needs to be.
The food itself is a mix of highs and a few missed opportunities. The bread is a great choice —it comes with excellent ricotta and tomato spreads, which are fantastic and definitely must-haves. I prefer paying for good bread like this rather than being served the usual supermarket fare.
The cauliflower steak appetizer was incredible; the hummus it came with was perfectly seasoned and truly delicious.
For entree, the ribeye steak was flavorful and cooked just right to a medium-rare, with roasted tomatoes and garlic providing a nice touch. And the mac and cheese? Amazing. Plenty of lobster, with a crunchy topping that was the icing on the cake.
On the flip side, the tuna tartare needed a bit more acidity and salt—it just didn’t have that brightness to make it sing.
Now, for the real issue: the waiter. This was, unfortunately, what took the whole experience down several notches. The service was overbearing and intrusive. I was still standing and waiting to be seated when the waiter was already asking me about what kind of water I wanted. When I was finally able to sit and read the menu (albeit with difficulty due to the dim lighting), he kept hovering and breathing down my neck asking for my order. I asked for some time, and within two minutes, he was back again. I even said, "please don't push," but he returned just four minutes later.
To make things worse, while I was talking with my partner about what we were going to order, he was eavesdropping and felt the need to jump in with his suggestions. It wasn't just that—he had to come back to the table repeatedly, asking if everything was okay, and while it was nice to be checked on, this felt more like a drone circling overhead. Every action he took, he felt compelled to announce as if performing surgery: "pouring water now," "changing your silverware." It was excessive and made us uncomfortable. I had barely rested the silverware and he was already cleaning the plates.
I want to be clear—I wasn’t lingering or taking up extra time. The restaurant was mostly empty, and maybe he had nothing else to do, but I felt so uncomfortable that I just wanted to leave. The whole dinner lasted only about 40 minutes, and I didn't even look at dessert because I wanted out.
The food has potential, and the ambiance could be enjoyable if they improved the lighting and the overbearing service that really soured the experience.

The issue is this is one of those restaurants that thinks having music blasting makes it seem like it's fun and cheery atmosphere. But it was so damn loud that every table was forced to shout at the top of their lungs to have a conversation which just makes the noise even worse. So a note to the Management, I'm not suggesting the music should be barely audible; what I'm suggesting is that if you notice a full restaurant of tables and every table is literally screaming at each other for basic conversation...then the music is too damn loud. People go out for dinner with friends to catch up and enjoy each other's company...how is having music blasting at club levels in a dining room appropriate for a dining environment. Again, I'm not being cranky, but literally every table was screaming at each other, it was totally ridiculous, we couldn't wait to pay our check and get out.
On a positive note, I've now been to Rosevale Kitchen several times, it's been loud most of the times but this past experience was over the top loud. I have gone back because the staff is great and the food is great. More importantly, the cocktails are exceptional from all the bartenders, you get your money's worth not little dinky drinks that cost $45's. It really is a shame that what is otherwise a great dining option is so negatively affected because of such a simple thing like turning the volume down of the music literally by maybe 2 or 3 decibals.
