The food was terrible. The restaurant was empty when we arrived and that should have been a sign.
Worth the stop. The service is outstanding and the portion size is good. The food was tasty... a great place to stop before a show
It is rare to find a midtown restaurant that checks all the boxes... I think my biggest compliment for Rosie O'Grady's would be the service. I met my fiancé for dinner after work and before a show, so I indicated in my reservation notes what show we were seeing so the staff would know we were on a schedule. The host made small talk about the show we were seeing, which was nice... I feel like most places don't read those reservation notes. We were seated at a corner booth, which was sweet! The waiter was extremely attentive, and the rest of the waitstaff constantly kept our water glasses full and made sure to clear away our dishes when we finished eating. The food hit the spot... we got the chicken piccata and chicken parmesan. It was nice to see old standards on the menu at somewhat reasonable prices for Manhattan. We will be back.
Once again, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. But this visit was before the show at Radio City rather than after it My hamburger was cooked to perfection /medium rare+. Our servers Ariel and Shay were very attentive. Cocktails were delicious! And the show after dinner at Radio City was sensational!
My friend and I had a wonderful lunch before our Wednesday Broadway show matinee. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The lunch menu has a wide variety of choices, and our food was delicious. We are planning to go back!
We had 5:30 reservations on a Sunday evening. We ended up arriving at the restaurant about 30 minutes early. The host greeted us warmly and seated us immediately. There were only two other tables seated at that time, so the restaurant was very quiet. The server was attentive and very responsive to our requests. The food arrived quickly and was nicely presented. The quality and taste was excellent. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and highly recommended.
I had sea food pasta dish which was delicious!! My husband Mac & Cheese with crab. Very little crab in this dish , though very tasty! Dessert very good. We will return in future!
When we arrived place was empty so we assumed fast service Waiter attentive but poor service. Salad appetizer ice cold and brown lettuce Had to wait and brought w entree Sent back No flavor Very poor service
The maitre d made our experience a delight. His name was Matthew and he was so attentive and engaging to every diner in the room. Unfortunately the food was tasteless (omelet) but the waitress Pamela was excellent and friendly. I would suggest Rosie O'Grady for the staff which made a visit to NYC and the restaurant but. Or the omelet!
Whilst the food was good the service was not, I was really confused, server was obviously new and didn't really understand what a being a waiter entailed. Whilst he was very pleasant he just wasn't trained and this I put squarely on the management. We finished our meal and the check was delivered before I took my final bite. Quite shocking, guys sort it out........

Excellent service, food was great, very clean, good value, no complaints. I would definitely come back next time I am in the city to see a show. Convenient location right in the heart of the Theater District.
Always love stopping at Rosie's before a show. Originally found it while it was still on 7th avenue and the new space on 51st street is awesome.
My first time going to Rosie's and wow what a great Impression this visit has given me and my coworker. I always seen it from the outside and decided to book because the food looked amazing. The food was amazing and good reasonable NY prices. I loved the look of it, from the moment we entered and being greeted right away; even though it was not so busy but we got seated right away with reservation. At the end, the host person thanked us for coming in and I told him wow what a great experience we had. I love to share feedback like this, because this what keeps businesses running and stand by their product. I will definitely be coming again... thank you.
We ate lunch at Rosie O'Grady's on a Sunday before a matinee. The food and service was excellent and we really loved the decor inside. Was a wonderful lunch stop!
We had been to the former Rosie O'Grady's location many times through the years and always loved it there. Still, we were excited for what this next iteration might hold. The maitre d kindly sat us immediately even though we were early for our reservation. Otherwise, she seemed disinterested as she unexpectedly led us to seating alongside a small bar area at the rear of the restaurant, and later did not look up from her post as we parted past her at the end of our visit. The restaurant is undergoing construction, including to a large seating area that was shielded by a clear tarp so that the active workplace was visible. The prix fixe option at $62 was not inexpensive for the limited offerings available. Our waiter was earnest, pleasant, and accommodating as could be said for all of the serving and busing staff, but most seemed to be in-training and not yet at up to par with what is to be expected for such an expensive restaurant. Each of our steaks were cooked the same even though our requests were for medium and medium rare. The restaurant long ago built up a lot of equity with us for its excellent service, fun ambience, and kind availability so we will surely return at some point, probably just not for a while now.
