A little spot I walked by 100xs, finally stopped in and wish I would have tried sooner. I got the bowl and the chicken was so flavorful and the ingredients were fresh. Can’t wait to come back to try the sandwiches.

Absolutely love this place. The prices are reasonable but my only thing is I wish the mango lassi came in a larger size. Also, they changed the shape of their fries which doesn’t make them stand out anymore. Previously, it was circular and crispy (so damn good). Now, I believe it’s crinkle cut. Not as good in my opinion.

I had their grilled chicken bowl- when i was close to finishing, realized it had a big piece of chicken that they failed to cut properly and turned out raw. I have no idea what I ate before realizing it, when I showed it to the guy by the counter, he stayed silent, went inside, then continued working without saying anything, not even saying sorry.
This happened around 12.30, if I get poisened due to this I'll take legal action- just don't eat here

Come hungry - the sandwich is huge! After eating this sandwich - it just seems so obvious - that a fried chicken sandwich with Indian flavors would be amazing. I got the hot chicken sandwich - it’s gigantic with the the right amount of heat. The chef is a genius - switching out mayo and pickles for mint chutney and red onions - bro, chefs kiss!! The Hakka chili dip - spicy and powerful flavor - good for both dipping fries and the sandwich in. It has a tang that reminds me of Indian Achar (pickle). Also glad I got the spiced fries- they have a nice masala flavor. Will be back soon with the family!

I came here because a friend recommended me this place. I ordered a chicken sandwich with the mango sauce on the side. We also tried the mango lassi that was nice and the fries.
But listen…when i tell you that on that first sandwich bite i saw an angel coming down and I felt how he took my soul gently from my body and lead me to heaven…im not lying. Then with the second bite, tears welled up in my eyes…cause yes, im that type of person that cries when food its too good. The amount of layers of flavor felt like fireworks in my mouth, a flavor safari. Was not just a chicken sandwich it was an introspective experience. I enjoyed that sandwich in silence, reflecting about life, knowing, with complete certainty, that everything was going to be okay. Forever.

These guys started off really well ,
Now the food is just off , I have had the fried chicken sandwich atleast 4-5 times , the quality of food is just declining . The space smells weird , had a stench alll the time.

Just crushed the Grilled Chicken Rice Bowl from Rowdy Rooster - Penn with MealPal, and honestly, it’s like a flavor party where kale and tandoori chicken flirted with mint yogurt sauce. So hearty and fresh, it made my taste buds do the happy dance!

Desi style wings are amazing at Rowdy Rooster. We tried all their sauces and rubs and nothing disappointed us. Great spot all together

I’ve been to their EV location. This one is less spicy on the lowest spice level. Skip it and do level 2 or 3.
I like Thai spicy levels and have the level 4 at their EV location. Today, I had the chilli chicken bowl which had just enough spice to make my mouth tingle but not so much that I was sweating. The bowl is so worth the value. $12 before tax and tip AND I could make two meals out of it.
Pro: Cashier was prompt and helpful with the menu.
Con: the kitchen is still trying to figure out lunch rush timing even though they’ve been around for 8+ months. The wait was 15-20 minutes from ordering to receiving. Not good for a midtown spot.
Overall definitely going again because it’s one of the few spots in Midtown I can get SPICE for lunch!

Rowdy Rooster has quickly become our go-to spot for a satisfying, flavorful paneer tikka rice bowl! The paneer here is honestly the best I’ve had in the U.S.—tender and coated in a tandoori spice that’s absolutely scrumptious. The bowl itself is balanced beautifully with rice, fresh salad, and a delicious sauce that ties everything together.
Rowdy Rooster is perfect for a quick bite, with a bright and colorful ambiance that adds to the experience. The staff is always friendly and goes out of their way to recommend the best options, which I really appreciate. And with its location conveniently right outside Penn Station, I find myself indulging here every time I have to go to Penn!
I highly recommend Rowdy Rooster for anyone craving bold and delicious Indian flavors!
