Any time I get the chance I get ravioli at Russo’s. They are large and fully stuffed. Commercial store bought ones are sad compared to these!

Bought two boxes of pasta from here for Christmas Eve. When I emptied the box into the boiling water there were multiple BUGS in the boiling water.

Hi, I would like to start that I make it a point to support small businesses, especially Italian family businesses (see my previous reviews).
That said, I am extremely disappointed with my experience today. I came by around 10:30 this morning and bought 2 baguettes, a sausage that was hanging from the ceiling, and a smoked mozzarella. The baguettes were both stale and the sausage was rock hard. The smoked mozzarella was good quality. I do feel like I was robbed of $36.
I very much would have liked to leave a positive review and have had a good experience, but unfortunately today’s products were sorely disappointing. I am in town through the weekend and would appreciate store credit to make up for the experience today, and give the shop a second chance. Thank you.

Best Italian store in New York! The fresh mozzarella is as delicious and fresh as it is in Italy! Amazing panini and other deli items. Such a gem!!!

Oh, remember when this place was the *it* spot in the East Village? Yeah, those days are long gone. Now, the employees have apparently taken up a new hobby: not listening and handing me the wrong items. Super fun. Oh, and let's not forget the expired canned beans—because who doesn't love a side of botulism with their groceries? Top-notch service, truly. Definitely wouldn't recommend it.

I bought 3 boxes of fresh pasta, one was moldy :( the rest were delicious! make sure to double check that products are good
Gem of a place. Fresh pasta is great, prosciutto is the best I've found, and the clam sauce is a sleeper hit.
No better place in NYC for fresh made sauces, raviolis (and so many options) and smoked mozzerella. Cash only.
Russo’s is a neighborhood staple.
