About Lhasa

Lhasa is a charming Tibetan restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience. The food is delicious, especially the Thenthuk with pork, and they also serve a variety of tasty vegetarian dishes. The butter tea is a unique must-try, and the Momos (Veg combo) are a crowd-pleaser. The atmosphere is chill, clean, serene, and peaceful, creating the perfect setting for a casual and adventurous night out. Customers have praised the restaurant for its amazing food, including the Bodhthuk and the chive momo and chili beef, as well as the sweet tea that evokes childhood flavors. The pricing is very reasonable, and sharing a selection of menu items is suggested for a delightful experience. The restaurant's wooden decor is inviting, and the milk tea, tingmo/bread, momo/dumplings, and shabhaley are all well-received. Diners have also enjoyed the shapta, steamed momos, shabaley, shogo khatsa, tingmo, and the #beefmomoShyaphaleFriedrice#, all of which are described as delicious and authentic Tibetan cuisine.

We are so excited that this amazing Tibetan restaurant reopened in a new location after the original location burned down in February 2021. The support of the community helped make it possible for them to continue serving delicious food in Jackson Heights. It’s as good as we remember, and the staff members are so kind. Please support our favorite Tibetan restaurant if you have the chance. You won’t regret it! 🥰
Solid Tibetan food

The monos have generous filling - we got the beef ones and they were delicious. A couple did have cartilage but the filling was perfectly seasoned and the dough is chewy in a nice way

The dry noodle dish was really good too with hand shredded flat noodles

The spicy potatoes are spicy!

Friendly and quick service to boot
The experience of eating here was memorable and the food was delicious. The people serving it radiated genuine pride, and it was easy to see why. This place gave me a terrific introduction to tibetan cuisine.
