simply food for the soul. filling, but not heavy, i was in the clouds. big yummers and for my first time trying matzah ball soup... girl that broth is something something. kinda spenny though and the size of the sandwich is a bit small for the price..but if u want flavour and personality this place has it in spades!!!

Dear S&P,

Your pastrami on rye is a New York specialty. I came a long way for this place and waited on a busy afternoon and you guys hit a home run out of the park. It’s better than the tuna melt. It’s better than Katz’s or any other place in the city. It’s better than Schwartz’s in Montreal. It’s a slam dunk. Add a Vanilla Coke to the order and you win game over.

The staff is also amazing and the place is run extremely well. Don’t ever change and don’t ever stop.

Way downhill since it was Eisenberg's. The food is mostly the same, although the portions are smaller and the price is higher. It took 20 minutes to get two sandwiches take out. Will not likely come again.

Sit at the counter. Order a pastrami sandwich, onion rings and chocolate egg cream.

It’s good but not really worth the price

We waited about 10 to 15 minutes to be seated and the tables were a bit cramped, but the food came out really fast and was exactly what we expected, super tasty and filling. I also really liked the vibe of the place, it looks like an old school diner which makes the experience even nicer.

Got the flat iron pastrami sandwich, and got to say we liked it better than Katz’s! Better bread, better price, better flavor

On our last day of our visit to NYC we wanted an authentic New York sandwich. What a great choice we made. The pastrami Reuben and the lox were both winners. We did have to wait a while for our food to takeaway, but totally worth the wait. It was at 1.30 pm so we expected to wait. Well with it.

It’s your duty as a new yorker to keep places like this alive, if we don’t, another private equity backed salad chain will take its place. S and P is especially easy to patronize, given the high quality of everything I’ve tasted.

An old school feeling diner with a simple menu of breakfast classics and sandwiches. I had a pretty solid western omelette, my friend said the turkey reuben was fantastic and we both loved the light and fluffy pancakes.
