This has become our go to restaurant when in NY for a show. The people are so nice and attentive. Even at the reservation stage they actually communicate with you. Oh and the food! It is by far the best Indian food I have had and I have had plenty. Nothing disappoints but the Biriyani and Chicken Korma are my favorite. I think the plain naan is better than the garlic, but my husband liked the garlic naan more - so basically you can't go wrong. It is a great place and 10 minute walk from the Marriott Marquis and across the street from the Winter Garden Theatre. Overall I would rate the people and service 5+ - attentive but not annoying!

Authentic Indian food. Very tasty. And heavenly desserts. Great to meet friends and family for lunch and dinner. Awesome staff, and if you go there for dinner you can sometimes get to meet the head chef too. Amazing person he is.

On the recommendation of my son's fiancé, we dined at Saar prior to a Broadway show. The food and service were excellent. If you need a satisfying pre-show meal or authentic Indian cuisine, I highly recommend Saar.

My boyfriend had there salmon Tika and I had butter chicken . And wow let me say their portions are good. Plenty to take home. Very delicious and fresh.
