Average tasting pizza drenched in grease. Doughy crust, not crispy. Much better slices elsewhere on the UWS. I remember getting great slices here 12–15 years ago. Now no more.

Very chill. Excellent NYC-style pizza, not the Staten Island-style Italian pizzas. There are seven tables in the back.

Solid pizza spot and super cheap. Love to get a slice and some cool fresh juice from a few doors down and enjoy in the park. Yum!

Unfortunately this was bad pizza. Too much sauce, and the dough was undercooked with a strangely sweet smell. I don't like to bad mouth a neighborhood joint, but at $40+ for a pie and delivery, this was a disappointment.

Special pizza with dollops of tomato sauce served on the cold side. Server negligent to properly heat the pizza. Too in a rush to serve others. A bit expensive too, not really any cheese in the pizza.

If you’re looking for delicious New York Style pizza away from the chaos, Sal and Carmine’s Pizza in the upper west side is an oasis of freshly tossed pizza dough, mozzarella and other goodies in a traditional pizza oven - served up hot and fresh in a classy upbeat atmosphere. Service is phenomenal and it’s authenticity goes a long way in making this a less chaotic classic New York culinary experience

Sal and Carmine’s on the Upper West Side is a true gem for pizza lovers! I ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. The pizza was generously topped with a rich, flavorful sauce that perfectly complemented the savory toppings. The crust had just the right amount of crispiness—light and airy but still with that satisfying crunch. What makes this place even better are the fair prices, especially for the PIZZA SIZE you’re getting. If you’re in the neighborhood and craving an authentic New York slice, Sal and Carmine’s is definitely worth a visit!

Also! The place boasts a huge interior space and a lot of seating too!

I love this place ,best pizza I ever had!! I was there this past Halloween, I got two slices and sat at the tables in the back. While eating i was looking at the old pictures on the wall and i looked over it was a guy sitting at the tables under the pictures .He had on a white Chef jacket and checkered pants with flour all over his pant and shoes.I asked him was that him on the pictures he said no, then he said which one I pointed to the young kid and he said yes that me.It was the grandson of the owner.Very nice guy.
