So many combinations to choose from! It was the perfect treat for this nice warm day. They fry the ice cream right in front of you so you get a nice warm crunch with a cooling sensation from the ice cream. I got the banana pudding ice cream with oreo crust. It was delicious ?. They also have fried oreos too!Kid-friendliness: Unique ice cream favors like cookie monster which was a blue color ice cream bound to be a kids pick

The food smells so good. I was instantly drawn in and fell in love with it. I was tempted to try the fried Oreos and they were great.

I love Sam's fried ice cream! So many dessert spots to try, but this is the place I always end up at whenever I'm in/near Chinatown. 4 stars because they discontinued the matcha flavor... which was hands-down the best fried and depicted in their logo :/ No other flavor compares. Please bring it back!

The fried ice cream is to die for 10/10 and the fried oreos are made to order and is hot and very good on a cold day.

My favorite fried ice cream in NYC. Must visit if in the area. Recommend the vanilla with the Frosted Flakes

A shop totally devoted to tempura ice cream? Where have you been all my life!? LOL. I've had Sam's on my list of places to visit for quite some time, but the hours of operation (3pm open) and the location are not as easy to get to. I finally made it this past weekend and I was not disappointed. Got to try the vanilla tempura with Oreo crumbs as well as the cookies and cream with Oreo crumbs,.... Can you tell there is an Oreo fixation? Haha. Even though it was fried, it wasn't oily and it was pretty evenly coated with the Oreo crumb. It takes a bit to prepare but the wait was reasonable and the service was friendly. Sam's is definitely worth the effort, although I wish the hours of operation included open hours a little earlier in the day but I'll make it back again someday. Pro tip for Yelpers, make sure you sign in for the checkin offer of fried Oreos.

The workers were extremely nice and they were really quick with the food even thought the store was packed. The ice cream was pretty good.

Sam fried ice cream is the best. The ice cream is so phenomenal every time I take a bite my toes curl. It's something about the combination of the cold, cold and the fry. That is so good. Also an experience to watch them do it right in front of you. When I first heard fried ice cream, I always wondered how how do you fry ice cream? Now I know they changed the flavors periodically and you could choose your own base And all the other good stuff on top of. Please try so good spot. It is a very small spot just to come in and get your ice cream stand on the side but not too many people fit in the store. People are pleasant. Just take your order and they make it right in front of you fast and easy. Enjoy!!

I love the deep fried ice cream. Never been to Sam's but get them every time they come to the Woodhaven street fair.

Walking through Chinatown I looked over and spied a little place called Sam’s Fried Ice-cream. I walked around a bit juggling my decision of whether or not to try it, but my curiosity got the best of me. This ice cream is superb. Choose your flavor, then the covering and the syrup. You can’t go wrong in your choice! Make this a stop while in Chinatown! You won’t regret it!
