I love Sam's fried ice cream! So many dessert spots to try, but this is the place I always end up at whenever I'm in/near Chinatown. 4 stars because they discontinued the matcha flavor... which was hands-down the best fried and depicted in their logo :/ No other flavor compares. Please bring it back!
A shop totally devoted to tempura ice cream? Where have you been all my life!? LOL. I've had Sam's on my list of places to visit for quite some time, but the hours of operation (3pm open) and the location are not as easy to get to. I finally made it this past weekend and I was not disappointed. Got to try the vanilla tempura with Oreo crumbs as well as the cookies and cream with Oreo crumbs,.... So many combinations to choose from! It was the perfect treat for this nice warm day. They fry the ice cream right in front of you so you get a nice warm crunch with a cooling sensation from the ice cream. I got the banana pudding ice cream with oreo crust. It was delicious ?.
