Sushi Oku Reviews
Very surprised by this place.
Unbelievable deal for the quality you get here. The fish is delicate with interesting and flavorful toppings. The omakase is fantastic and completely worth it. Trust me, they are doing it right here. If there was a spot like this where I live, I would be there weekly.
My first omakase experience set an incredibly high bar. I’ve eaten at many Michelin‑star restaurants in NYC and beyond, and this ranks among the best meals I’ve ever had. Sushi Oku offers a memorable dining experience with exceptional food, service, and ambiance. The restaurant's omakase menu, priced at $165 for 17 courses, is a must-try. The chef, with experienced hands, skillfully prepares dishes such as shirako and a unique mochi-based course featuring uni, caviar, and wasabi, showcasing their expertise. The staff, led by Keith and Rey, provide attentive and personalized service, making each guest feel special. The restaurant is tucked away in an unassuming location, with a setting that combines Tokyo flavors with a New York atmosphere, complete with music and a lively vibe. Presentation is a key focus, and the alcohol pairings, though on the pricier side, are worth experiencing. With its unique offerings and high-quality dishes, Sushi Oku is a standout in the city's omakase scene.
